LOS ANGELES -- NFL defensive back Ricky Manning Jr. was arrested on suspicion of assault Sunday after a fight at a restaurant near the UCLA campus.

Shogun, my heart about jumped into my throat until I saw the full post! Eli was a classmate of mine at Ole Miss, and even though he got into some typical college trouble, I know he would never do something like that. Peyton and Cooper are both married, so when I saw Manning, I thought of Eli. Just for kicks, here's a couple of Eli pictures, one from his freshman year and one from his Senior year.

Today, May 18, Ricky Manning and two former UCLA football players were charged with assault after they allegedly attacked a man in a Denny's restaurant in Westwood on April 23, the LA County District Attorney's office announced.

Manning had recently signed a 4 year contract for $21 million, plus $7 million bonus money. The above is from a LA DA's office press release. Manning is a fairly prominent athlete in America's major sport. Meanwhile, CNN, Court TV, Fox, and MSNBC were giving live coverage of a brief pre-trial hearing in the Duke Rape Case.
