first of all, this thread is not to talk about racial relations..But im sure we all know how you guys hate to hear the opposing views say "i told you so"..but what the hell,,i told you so.

despite the fact that, whats his name again (brady?-lol) had a marginal season, and rosy posy fan hope (not to mention media hype), i told you guys a while back that he had not upgraded enough at a quarter back position to be a serious contender, or anything to be reckoned with. Especially now that he's being compared to the likes of vick and macnab. Who are by far more competent.

And its a proven fact that brady only has an arm...and that is precisely whats killing him and his fellow white quarterbacks because they are 100% depedant on the runners.ANd therefore are at times ,not in total control of their teams when a game gets heavy...or when the team needs THEM to perform.

I also mentioned that manning, is at best, a "decent" player. and very much beneath the levels of mike vick, and mcnabb...

Consider this if you will....imagine brady got shipped to the CFL, where he'd have a better chance of creating a name for him self?? And manning can join a christmas choir or something.....

what do you guys think??

oh and btw....have a happy super bowl

That has to be one of the stupidest posts ever by a troll on this board, though there has been lots of competition. Amusingly inaccurate in every assertion, and mind-bogglingly idiotic to boot. McBride, you best stick to track & field, where you also don't know anything but look like a genius compared to your lack of football knowledge.

You've got to be kidding. Vick is the 25th rated quarterback in a league with 32 teams. That's your idea of "competence?" As for Brady, he has more Super Bowl wins (3) than McNabb, Vick, Culpepper, have Super Bowl appearances among them (1).

It's "killing" white quarterbacks? How many black QBs even made the playoffs this year? 38 winning Super Bowl quarterbacks out of 39 have been white. Why is that? Partial reason: the one element of playing QB you left out. Namely, brains.

Not to put to fine a point upon it, Vick McNabb and Culpepper are illiterate morons who can barely read their own playbooks.

What's up with McBride? Most trolls are at least a little entertaining. This guy was totally out of left field. Brady and P.Manning "average Qb's"..as oppossed to Vick and McNabb. Oh please, I would bet that Eagle and Falcon gm's if asked in private who they would take as a qb...I bet 15 white qb names would come up before they would even consider injury prone McNabb or overrated Vick. This is a no brainer! I suspect McBride is a black guy who took the most irish name he could think of.

"McBride" was simply posting the most innane comments he could think of to get a rise out of the people who post here. I don't think for a moment that even he, himself, believes the nonsense he spouted here.

Brady had his best year statistically without a strong running game, he carried the team. Both Manning and Brady use their heads not their legs when making big plays.

McBride claims to be a black track runner from South Africa. He's posted a few times in the Track & Field section. Here's an example, I think this was his first post:

"When i lived in south africa about 4 years ago, i was on the 100m national relay team , and had been sprinting since the age of 10, and these are my observations:

"When i started running at ten, i first ran the 80m (thats what 10 year olds run in south africa). And the gold medal was usually, if not always won by a white boy.

"At 12, i started running the 100m (ran it 13.14secs),, and needless to say, the gold was also won by a white kid.

"At 13, i ran the 100 (nationals) in 12.45 secs, and this was also won by a white guy.

"At the age of 14, this is where everything took a drastic change, and ALL the white boys that used to defeat me, on a primary level, started getting fat, and obviously slow. That year i ran the 100m in (nationals) in 11.55 secs, however i was beaten by 2 other blacks, who both ran close to under 11 secs (11.02 to be exact)

"At 15, i ran a 10.8 secs at the nationals, and needless to say i was 9th that year, the fastest guy (mixed race kid) ran 10.53secs ....at 15 !!!

"At 16, i ran at the nationals in 10.34, and took second place, the fisrt place was taken by the same mixed kid who ran 10.29,......no white guys even qualified. that year (and white guys are pretty fast in south africa)...

"So I'll have say that white guys start off as fast (if not faster) than black guys,...but this tendfs to change around the ages of 14-15-16......Ive seen this happen right before my own eyes....White guys simply get slower. In fact i remember at the age of 13, thinking that they had to be the fastest guys in the world........but those same white guys couldnt even see me the next few years......

"take care"

and white guys are pretty fast in south africa..

Well, given the current political climate in South Africa, with all the assaults, rapes and murders that are common everyday occurences there, I'd say that most white people have to be pretty fast just to stay alive!

I noticed an earlier post by Cassiodorus of 38 of 39 QB's that have won the super bowl have been white.

I wonder how many black qb's have even made it to the superbowl as a starter? McNair and McNabb who was the black qb to win the super bowl?

Thanks. Sorry don't know to much about the older players. Am I right on just McNair and McNabb?

Neither McNair nor McNabb have won a Super Bowl. McNair and the Titans lost to the Rams; McNabb and the Eagles lost just last year to the New England Patriots. Doug Williams was the first black quarterback to play in the Super Bowl and the only one of the three to win.

No other black quarterbacks have played in the Super Bowl. Edited by: White Shogun

I had read somewhere that Steve Young, although a drop back passer for
most of his career, had tremendous speed. BYU even considered
making him a defensive back. All he had was an arm? Even
though a quarterback may be a dropback passer doesn't mean he can't
run. Young won a Super Bowl. He thought being a pocket
passer was the best way to help his team win.

Ben Roethlisberger cant run?

Its funny how McNabb was criticized by the NAACP for trying to be a pocket passer.

to be honest Steve Young was also known as a great runner, he had 4200 plus yards, with 48 TDs and almost 6 yards per carry avg... he also had over 500 rushing yards and 8 TDs in playoffs, so he had both great arm, accuracy, vision and great running ability...

Steve Young is my all-time favorite football player. I just loved to watch him play. He had all the physical tools, plus a great mind.

I was a huge Steve Young fan myself. It's really sad that he had to wait so long to become a starter. He just happened to be on a team with one of the greatest qb's ever.Steve Young was the most exciting qb that I have ever seen period. At least he got to win a ring.

McBride is either pignuts or some other clown-lets face it Vick, McNabb and Culpepper are borderline bums and not in the same class as Big Ben, P.Manning, Palmer, Hasselbeck, Favre, Brad Johnson or Brady.
Brad Johnson will win when Culpepper would lose, McNabb would quit when Brady would fight on and Vick is just an overhyped bum.

Young was such a gifted runner that he actually played tailback during his stint in the short-lived USFL. and coming out of college, he was considered by many to be too much of a scatter-armed runner to ever become a legitimate NFL quarterback.

it's funny how those traits are now what scouts want from their draft prospects, but as Young matured, he became more of a pocket passer first/scrambler second in order to lead a winning team.
