The Showtime telecast has started but there is one fight before the Lyakhovich fight.

The announcers in the pre-fight discussion said that Briggs has made several personal, verbal attacks against Lyakhovich in the weeks leading up the fight. The assessment is that Briggs is hoping to upset Lyakhovich enough to intice him to trade with Briggs in a brawl.

In a locker room interview with Briggs, he admitted that he was trying to bait Lyakhovich and get 'inside his head.' They showed a confrontation between the two men at the weigh in. Both seemed to be agitated, but at the end of the confrontation Briggs was yelling profanities as Lyakhovich walked away, yelling at Lyakhovich that he would 'knock his f***ing eyes out!'

They are describing Lyakhovich as the most technical and well-rounded of the current crop of heavyweight champions. (? Isn't Wlad still a champion?)

They're making their way to the ring now. Edited by: White Shogun

Briggs comes out to the ring wearing sunglasses.

Lyakhovich looks relaxed,a little wide eyed. Its hard to interpret Lyakhovich's body language. Calm? Relaxed? Tight? He isn't bouncing around, or moving very much at all.

Briggs is bouncing, throwing punches in the air. Typical pre-fight behavior.

Lyakhovich looking a little more intense, workmanlike; perhaps even irritated.

Briggs a 268 lbs. He is wearing a T-shirt with his own name and face on it. 47-4-1, 41 KO's.

Lyakhovich looks pissed at the staredown. He has no problem with eye contact. Briggs seems almost a little too jovial or relaxed.

First of all; fine job on the PBP WS, well done.

Who were the announcers?

I was afraid the Wolf would try to trade with him at the end because it was close.

God we'll never hear the end of it.

The announcers made mention of a rule where a fighter knocked out of the ring had 20 seconds to re-enter. Not here, the ref waved it off immediately. Showtime said gleefully, "America is back!"
