Tonight in Montreal Canada, despite receiving a nasty head butt by Sakio Bika, super middleweight Lucian Bute won a wide UD. Judges cards were:

116-111

I was there and DAMN, Bute is a GOD in montreal. Wow he won clearly 10rounds. Bika is vicious and got a good chin. and a good headbutt lol...The judge who score 116-111 wasnt fair. Lucian Bute is gonna whoop Berrio ass. A future top five P4P. He is SO good. Great jab, great speed, good power, great chin, great reflex and good color

I was impressed. Bring on Barrio so we take all the belts at super middleweight just like heavyweight (and, soon enough, middlewight and light heavy).


Montreal/Quebec is starting to develop some very good fighters. May this trend continue.

I watched the replay, first time I've seen Bute. The first half of the fight he was more miss than hit, but then he got better. Still, he seemed to have a hard time connecting solidly. It seems Bika has good defense for a fighter his style, because Calzaghe had the same problem. Bute did win going away.

I'll have to see more, but he could be special.
