LeBron James - Immature, self-absorbed brat?

I'm not a basketball fan but I heard LeBron James wasn't very gracious when his team got knocked out. I was at a sports business website when I saw a link to this column from Yahoo.

An excerpt below (Note: Sometimes when I come to CF the quotation function isn't available - other times it is! It wasn't when I tried to use it for the quotation below).

I'm a winner, King James proclaimed. So, there you go. That's his reason for rushing out of the conference finals without so much as a nod to Dwight Howard(notes) and the Orlando Magic. That's his reason for marching to the bus and letting the Cleveland Cavaliers' spare parts take care of his responsibilities in the interview room.

Funny, but James stayed on the court to make sure the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks paid respect to him. As it turns out, there's one thing allowed to happen at the end of a playoff series: Everyone bows down and kisses the King's ring. Only, LeBron doesn't have a ring. He's never won a game in the NBA Finals. So, yes, maybe they just have to kiss his feet.

It's not being a poor sport or anything like that,"Â￾ James said. No, nothing like that. Yes, James cares so much that it isn't possible to be gracious and humbled. You know me, he told the reporters in Cleveland on Sunday. I'm a competitor. "If somebody beats you up, you're not going to congratulate them,"Â￾ James said. "It doesn't make sense for me to go over and shake somebody's hand."Â￾ Here's the question: Who has the guts to tell him that he sounds like an immature, self-absorbed brat? Here's the problem for the Cavaliers and James: No one.

Yes, finally the Lebron James image has become a little tarnished. There is a sports radio talk show host in Cleveland who is always saying that he has souces that indicate Lebron is not as well-liked in the lockeroom as the image he puts forth in public. He has one year left in Cleveland and then he's likely gone to New York or some other big media market and everybody knows it unless the Cavs win a championship in his final season. I don't think they have the roster to do it.

I really didn't know where to put this, it looks like the "Decision II" even has Special Olympian ambassadors like Riddick Bowe tweeting on the subject.....http://www.cbc.ca/sports/riddick-bowe-s-lebron-scoop-1.2702830

LeBron, a classic case of low IQ and poor impulse control, has been praised, worshipped, coddled, and told he could do no wrong all his life. The end result of an obnoxious, spoiled jerk is not surprising in the least.

DWF's line up outside Lebron James' house in Cleveland

Fox Sports Ohio's Sam Amico reported that James was expected to make an announcement Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET:

With the news of an impending announcement, Cleveland fans flocked to James' house:

Multiple officers say they were told to be ready for 3:30 LBJ announcement.

Hours later, James has yet to announce a decision.

My gosh people arent worth saving anymore. Who the hell would care about some half retarded giant negro as much as the clowns do. Nothing makes me more sick with the creatures called humans than the Lebron love.

Yeah those people are sick. The worst part is that LeBron, just like the majority of black athletes, hates White people. And these pathetic White clowns still worship the ground the affletes walk on.

Yeah those people are sick...

True.. but in defense of these young Cleveland-area fans, they weren't given much of a chance.

Descended from the denizens of the 'dawg pound', they had really moronic, mercurial role models. Watching their dads chew on dog bones, chase Earnest Byner out of town, and bark and crank their fists to late '80s Arsenio Hall.. a lot of these young, emotionally erratic DWFs are just blindly carrying on idiotic family tradition.

Carmelo Anthony and Jay Z wear bling from the Five Percent Nation who believe that White men are the devil

Black people are the fathers and mothers of civilization, white men are the devil, the Christian god is nothing more than a ghost and only a small percentage of people understand the world.

These are just some of the beliefs behind the bling the gaudy Five Percent Nation medallions worn by Jay Z and Carmelo Anthony.

I could care less about him but his prescience back in Cleveland should temper any criticism Johnny manziel receives due to the fact James is a fan of Johnny football and the dwfs will not question him. Dwfs surely are the most pAthetic people out there

The DWFs are pathetic but the anti-White corporate media is diabolical. The difference is that the media are following a communist agenda while the DWFs are clueless dupes who can't think or observe outside the box. This whole "where will Lebron go" drama may have been the most absurdly over-hyped sports-related event yet and that's saying a whole lot.

Seeing 20 something fools acting like grammar school children over the return of a marketed "hero" is an insult to real returning heroes.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wv1PF0tAE1s

It's pathetically amazing that the LBJ watch has received non-stop coverage for weeks on ESPN. He and his team were BLOWN OUT of the finals. The winners it seems were totally forgotten. And the Carmelo Anthony watch is just as ridiculous. What has he ever won? But the peak of this absurd fabricated LBJ watch circus hype has been the last few days as it has been headline news on regular non-sports national news. I think with a couple of color commentators, sports shows, and non-stop coverage you could convince the idiots in our nation to get emotionally involved in any story no matter how irrelevant and boring the nature of the subject matter is.

^^^This (ditto).

I had gone to a sports bar this evening to meet a couple of friends for dinner. It's a new place, so they have wall to huge screen TVs throughout, all of them tuned to various sports channels, led by ESPN, Fox Sports, NFLN, etc. From the moment we sat down, there were two dedicated, parallel shows on ESPN/ESPN2 going on, with 100% LeBron James coverage. This was around 7pm PST, but I assume this had to have been going on all-day.

The ESPN show was a Sportscenter special, I believe. It was basically all LeBron, from his decision to return to CLE, to his best moments in CLE, to the reaction of the fans, and other full blown analysis. The ESPN2 show was another special titled "Return of the King", and there was an anchor interviewing various analysts and just playing LeBron clips.

We left after about 3 hours, and both shows were still going on. It was so ridiculously over-the-top coverage that you really have to wonder about the mental state of the negro-worshipping vermin in charge of programming at that wretched network. This country badly needs some sort of a reset/wake-up call/asteroid, something, anything to snap out of this cartoon and start re-building a normal country again. We are truly f***ed, pardon my language.

Scratch out the sports part and you have tons of other other "news" as well

Africans age differently from whites, from all other races in fact. The genetic distances are quite large.

USSA inhabitants are truly "programmed". Even if there is any "wake-up call" the media blitz will blame it on the next enemy ZOG is willing to dispose of. It's probably us en masse that is next.

The plain fact of the matter is, that while James is a talented player, he is not in the same league as the true elites of history (Jordan, Bird, West, Magic, even Kobe, etc.) because he has the whole league basically rigged in favor of gifting him a ring, and he still blew it because he just isn't a great leader and he doesn't have the guts to close out a game.

I don't like Kobe, but dude tried to play with a ruined ankle. Yeah he is selfish and delusional, but it does show that he wants to be competitive and that he doesn't give up easily.

Lebron gave up the MOMENT that playing became INCONVENIENT. WTF?

So all this moving around of his shows that rather than stick it out with his teammates, study what went wrong, and come back next year wiser and with a better plan, No...

He wants a quick fix, a quick championship, and he won't get it next year, or ever again as the main gun on the team.

Maybe in his twilight he can bandwagon some other superstar, but as the main guy, this punk is through.

He just doesn't have IT.

The end.
