Lachlan Kennedy 6.43, 9.98 and 20.26

A very interesting and informative profile of Lachlan Kennedy

a very likeable young man and committed family. I hadn't heard about his minor back complaint until now - I hope it doesn't put him back leading into the worlds.
But an upside is that he's a fantastic upfront advertising guy for increased government diabetes funding.

I'll admit I didn't know the cost to society and the burden to the individuals this type of diabetes is. I pretty much thought it was an older age and/or lifestyle choice issue

Yes Lachlan Kennedy can really help promote more awarenes for Diabetes around the world. What a great spokesperson for the cause!

So think about this guys? This young man ran a time of 10.07 with a bad back(hairline fracture) and a sprained ankle. That was his first race
ever in America against the worlds best and even injured he still raced and performed at a very high level. He just might have went sub 10
again in Oregon if he was healthy. I'm so excited for this kids future. I see him running in the 9.80's in the coming years!

Lachlan Kennedy had formally withdrawn today from the World Championships in Japan. His injuries need to heal and he obviously isn't able to put in positive training538795435_4190863364507412_905597796756339602_n.jpg

Damn it!!

Will Rohan Browning be going?
This from "Insideathletics.com.au"

"Australia will be well-represented across the sprint program. National champion and record holder Torrie Lewis, and Bree Rizzo qualify by quot-a. The men’s 100m team is led by Olympic sprinter Rohan Browning and Joshua Azzopardi qualify within quot-a, while sub-10 second man Lachlan Kennedy has withdrawn with injury."

How ridiculous! I couldn't write the word "quot a" in the normal way because when I post it becomes "black quarterback". How bizarre

Many fans don't realise that a white lady has had the world record in the 60 meters for many, many decades now. The Great Irina Privalova!
She was one of the best female sprinters to ever compete in track and field. I hope her record lasts for many more years!
She's a legend! My oldest daughter and Irina's daughter were classmates. I've spoken with Irina a few times. Absolute Legend.
