This russian junior hurdler just set the new Russian National Record for his age group with a winning time of 13.32 seconds! That is very fast and he should be one of the favorites at the World Junior Championships coming up in the next three weeks. Alot of the European 110 Hurdlers are underacheiving so it will be good to add some new youngsters to the mix. As of the latest IAAF Top Junior Lists, he has the fastest time in the world this year!Edited by: white lightning

Noga set another new p.b. last week. Isn't there also another junior hurdler from Greece that is really good as well? I thought I remembered reading about someone but I will have to check on that. The future looks bright in the 110 high hurdles.

Thanks for the info jacknyc. What do you think of Konstantine? I think he might just be better than Stanislav Olijars when all is said and done. Time will tell. I also hope Noga continues to improve. The olympics in London in 2012 should be alot of fun. I plan on being there!

Konstantine ran a 13.41 to win his semi final heat into a negative 1.7 wind! This kid is for real. He should win the finals tommorow unless something really weird happens. There is another russian kid in the finals of the junior world champs as well.

Konstantine won the world junior championships with a 13.27 today in the 110 meter hurdles. Second place was a black American who finished.18 seconds behind him! His time was good for a new personal best and the world junior lead.

Konstantine is faster than any of the euro hurdlers at the senior level. He has a chance to go sub 13 seconds in the coming years and challenge the world record someday. It has been a long time since we had a true world class hurdler in the 110 high hurdls.

With Shabanov & Noga, plus J.Hembrough from the US, the future is looking bright. I think Konstantine will out shine them all. What a talent!

Konstantine actually could have ran faster. He started celebrating early as he won by .018 which is a pretty big margin of victory. The track was also wet. His dad was a hurdler but I think his son has the potential to be the best in the world. Shabanov will compete next weekend against the seniors to try to make the Russian Olympic Team! His dad is his coach. Good luck to him.

Youtube has a video of the 100 finals and the 200 finals for the men in the world junior championships. Has anyone found this 110 high hurdles finals race yet? Please post it if you do. I want to save it along with the other races on my computer. Thanks.
