Kickers and Punters Are Devalued Because They're White

Kickers and punters are an important part of a football team. Kickers are usually among the top point scorers. Punters are important to achieve good field position.

DWFs constantly make derogatory comments about kickers and punters. In many cases they act as if they're worthless. This is because kickers and punters are usually white, not for any objective reason.

They degrade the positions themselves because they are dominated by white men. For example drafting a kicker or punter automatically gets criticized by the DWFs.

The devaluation of kickers and punters is racially motivated. We need to counter this. Speak highly of kickers and punters. Point out the importance of kickers and punters. Defend their selections when they're drafted.

I also think that kickers face the greatest solo pressures in a football game. The position probably requires more nerve than any other, (equal or even greater to a QB's). Between extra points & FGs, you maybe have 5 or 6 chances to make your paycheck every week. The holder is another guy who doesn't get much love, he's also under that same duress.. I think punters are a ways behind kickers, 'cuz they usually dont take on last-second, game-winning/losing plays..
Most dwfs think the only guys that matter on the field, are the ones 'blowing up' run plays.

the hardest part for kickers is that they don't get to practice in game situations that much. Every other position does. It would be like a quarterback coming in off the bench and expected to make a nice completion right off the bat, sure he warms up on the sidelines but that isn't enough to simulate the actual in game kick. I agree it takes a lot of talent and confidence. Long Snappers usually don't get any respect, they are usually "undersized" guys that are backups too other positions, which they never play. Funny thing is Rob Ninkovich was the backup long snapper for the Saints, and the thing is, that is where they had thoughts of putting him since they saw him as a "tweener" (too small to play de, not athletic enough to play linebacker), yet here he has been, playing more than solid for the Patriots as a linebacker, and its not like he is some pass rushing specialist, he plays more like a traditional linebacker, he can play the 4-3 too, which the Patriots have been going more to the lately.

Nice post, Extra Point. Right through the uprights, as they say.

Punting is something I couldn’t do worth a flip. One time I caught one just right and it took off like a rocket. It must have traveled a good forty yards. I was a drop-kicking guru, however.

I think being White is part of the equation, also being specialists has hurt them too. I know when they played other positions nobody treated kickers like the proverbial mob term of "half a ***" in the locker room. I think punters are a little different as many are stockier and a few have been rugby players that don't shy away from tackling when they have to. I dare a big mouth braggart like Brian Cox telling Darren Bennett he was "half a ***" or "soft". He would be on his ass counting sheep..:icon_mrgreen:

The image of the weak, unathletic, and white kicker/punter plays perfectly into hands of the cultural Marxists. That's why you won't see any sports writers lining up to ask for more diversity in the positions.

But the truth is that kicking is not an easy task and requires the sort of hand-eye (or foot-eye) coordination that blacks lack to succeed at the position. Also, in recent years, there's been an influx of very athletic kickers and punters entering the league who possess very impressive measurables. You will rarely hear about that anywhere in the media.

Interesting thread, I believe kickers are very important to a football team. I've also notice lately that the kickers are now making tackles, I think I'd be a little pissed too if I kicked the ball into the endzone and the returner made it all the way back to me.

Dwf's drooled over Reggie Roby. The "Punta" from the projects.

Years ago the Browns had a black punter named Reggie Hodges. I remember a poster on a Browns fan site describing Hodges as "awesome." Hodges was one of the worst punters in football.

In the minds of some DWFs just being black makes you a good player.

Long snapping is also a critically important, disciplined job. The guys on the kicking unit (specifically: snapper, holder, & kicker) rarely get much love. Seems the only time DWFs, or the sports media, notice 'em, is when they make mistakes. But these guys routinely win/close-out games..

Remember back in the 80s, foreign-born soccer players almost completely pushed out domestic kickers. The straight on kicking game vanished. But it seems like now, more American guys are back kicking FGs.. Is that the case (?) It may have just taken a generation for the American guys to be raised in the soccer-style & win back the jobs. Also noticed the barefoot guys have gone the way of history. I used to like seeing barefoot kicking in the snow.

It was his once a year long rushes that people seemed to think was special.

With black players, people forget the job description. TE's job is mostly protection, offense is a bonus, but when thats all a black TE brings which is less than Gronk, they are special!

Yes when was the last time some ******* bitched about lack of black kickers and punters? Uhh like never. Yes some punters are very athletic--but the media could give a toss.
The grand design is simple. Whites must NOT RUN, JUMP OR DISPLAY ATHLETICISM. They should be slotted into the most non athletic positions in all sports and at best become helpers but never leaders unless you are a white QB with black skill players.
White athletes DO NOT MATTER and this is what is being pushed harder than ever. When you hear that awful bitching about lack of black MLB players---a complete and utter lie by the way--- they are NOT talking about pitchers and catchers. They are talking about stud shortstops and centerfielders.
Instead of mellowing out I am getting more and more pissed off about these horrifying trends in sports.

This is a key point. The anti-whites have an agenda to portray blacks as superior to whites. They promote blacks as being superior athletes as part of this agenda.

Any white who is athletic contradicts their narrative so they lie and say these whites are not athletic. The anti-whites promote the stereotype that whites are unathletic because it advances their agenda.

That's why the anti-whites automatically claim that white athletes are unathletic.

In the 2012 draft the Jaguars drafted punter Bryan Anger in the third round. They desperately needed an upgrade at punter and Anger projected to be a very good one.

The pick, however, was, and continues to be, widely disparaged. The media and fans are still going on about it today.

The reason the pick is disparaged is that Anger was a punter and Anger is white. The DWFs love to bash white players and things associated with white people. Punting is associated with white people so drafting a punter high is bashed no matter how good the punter is.

In fact the Anger pick was a good one. Anger has emerged as one of the top punters in the league. He was well worth a third round pick.

And look at the five (2 WRs, 2 CBs, and a RB - so naturally all blacks) "exceptional" players taken before Anger:
56 career catches, 4 TDs and now a free agent (never heard of this guy)
22 career catches, 0 TDs and now a free agent (never heard of)
1000 career rushing yards, 5 TDs, Broncos back-up RB (never heard of)
5 career picks (only heard about him because I play a lot of vikings in madden)
8 career picks (never heard of)

Only pro bowl players taken in the next 100 picks were Wilson (hack), Foles, and Hilton (good WR because of a great QB).

Kickers and Punters are indeed very important to overall team success. I've always hated coaches who have acted otherwise and wished for them to lose either a Super Bowl or conference championship game due to a missed field goal or terrible punt. Bill Parcells is one coach in particular that I wished this upon. He always acted as if the PK was so unimportant that he didn't even know their name or uniform number.

Fat Rex is another one who is a proponent of the old "half ***, not really a football player" BS referenced above. Dan Carpenter has been tremendous the last 2 seasons for the Bills, but was dealing with an injury issue for all of training camp and most of the pre-season as well as some personal devastation due to the effect the death of a beloved pet had on his wife and children. Fat Rex has been riding him all along, acting at first like Carpenter was milking the injury and then excoriating him for missing a couple pre-season field goals after he rushed him back. Thankfully, Carpenter had a great game in the opener and of course Fat Rex is trying now to act like it was all just some good old-fashioned coachspeak to properly motivate him, but it's readily apparent just by watching the sideline interactions that Carpenter hates Fat Rex with a passion !!!!

At the opposite end of the spectrum, we had Marv Levy for all those years who was something of a breath of fresh air with regard to this issue. While he himself was a track star and starting HB in college, he got his start in NFL coaching as one of the very first Special Teams Coordinators for George Allen's Redskins. Marv always stressed the importance of special teams and alotted more time in practice to the kicking game than any other coach in NFL history, which often included authentic, in-game situational simulation. As Marv was so fond of saying : "special teams are a full one-third of any football game." Unfortunately, far too many Caste Clown bast**d coaches don't appreciate this fact.

While there are far more larger, athletic kickers and punters in the NFL than there used to be, a favorite agenda promoting trick of the Marxist Media Mavens broadcasting NFL games is to show one of the biggest, most muscular afroletes on the field in a close-up shot immediately before and then right after focusing in on the kicker or punter. This sort of sick s**t is no coincidence !!!!

P.S.> For many years, long-time Buffalo Bills punter Brian Moorman had a secret that no self-respecting Marxist Media Maven would dare reveal : he was the FASTEST guy on the roster !!! Brian was a three sport All-State star in High School football, track, and basketball and a world-class hurdler as well. He was also his college team's emegency QB and had a pretty good arm. He was great on punt fakes, whether throwing a pass or running the ball, but was criminally under-used in this capacity throughout his career.

i've enjoyed reading your posts.

speaking of fleet-footed kickers, there was a very interesting thread a while back in which we discussed the (frequently lied about) athleticism of the "just a kicker" members of the NFL. i can't recall what the thread was called, but the list of fast kickers was pretty lengthy. i seem to recall a half-dozen or so kickers who were actually the fastest player on their NFL team at the time of the thread. some (perhaps) surprising names were on the list, including punter Hunter Smith of the Indianapolis Colts and Kris Brown of the Steelers and Texans.

I remember we had a guy back in the 70's, Larry Seiple who was a crucial piece of the Dolphins undefeated season. Not only was he a great punter, but was a great athlete as well. In fact, if not for a key 4th down conversion made by Seiple during the playoff game in Pittsburgh, running the ball for a 1st down, the Dolphins probably lose that game, thus ending the unbeaten season with a playoff loss and no championship.

When the Jaguars drafted punter Bryan Anger in the third round in 2012 they were roundly condemned and ridiculed. The mainstream media still brings it up and laughs about it even though Anger is still playing in the NFL.

The Buccaneers drafted kicker Roberto Aguayo in the second round of the 2016 draft. The Bucs even traded up to get him. There was little criticism of this move on the part of the MSM.

Aguayo is was so bad he's already been released. Yet the MSM doesn't criticize the Bucs for drafting him.

Lurkers, observe the difference in the way the media reports on the drafting of these two players. For the White player, Anger, the move was criticized and the player is still doing well in the NFL. For the non-white player, Aguayo, there is no criticism.

This is the racist double standard that is prevalent in our culture. This racist double standard is always anti-White.
