he is an outstanding talent who has made plays every time he's been given an opportunity to play.
a verytalented and versatile defensive back, Kaesviharn led all NFL safeties with six interceptions and four sacks last season. heleaves Cincinnati with 15 career interceptions and tied for eighth most on the club's all-time list despite only playing as a part-time starter and never being regarded asmore than a stop-gapplayer at any position in the secondary.
he's played both safety spots and both sides of the field at corner.
as a corner, he has tremendous size and adequate speed. as a safety, he has great tackling ability although he isn't a big-time knockout hitter. at either spot, he has a tremendous knack for playmaking and the ability to play the ball in the air. he doesn't have elite speed, but he's plenty fast enough. he does have nearly olympic-level leaping ability, however. most people don't know that, or at least they don't give him credit for it.

Sorry to bust the bubble, but he's not white. His father was born in Thailand. He's a great athlete no doubt, but not exactly Arian.

i'm not going to get into a big "he's not really white" deal, so i'll just say this. he's plenty white enough for me to cheer for.

I agree with Jimmy C! This is not the Aryan site, he is white enough for us Saints fans who also signed Eric Johnson (and 2 O lineman!). They are also courting a couple of other white free agents. I predict that they will start 9-11 white brothers next year and have a roster of 25-28 white players! Not bad for a team 2 years ago stuck in the caste system under Haslett!

Well if the Afro-letes can site the 1% rule, why can't we? Especially when the individual displays a preponderance of white qualities, ie. skin color, intellect, etc.

I'm greatly interested in Kaesviharn, as any son of mine will be 1/4 Japanese. There's only a handful of non-Samoan Asians in the NFL, and they're usually very 'white' in behavior and how they carry themselves. High-character, and the best two that spring to mind are KK and the now-retired Dat Nguyen, who was an awesome LB.

The same rule still applies: any drop'll do you. Its why Rod Woodson or Nick Goings are extremely light but can play CB and RB. Also, there's no hard and fast rule: some people care only for the white players, others root for non-black players. Its like I was told when I was pretty much done with the board for daring to criticise any aspect of white players: race brings out a lot of emotion. I view non-blacks of any race as a plus, especially KK because he's been the only non-black to play CB in the pros since Sehorn retired, AFAIK. But, I'm married to a 'halfbreed'.
If you are 50% white and you act white and have the same interests as whites then you are white. As far as I am concerned Kaesviharn and Tony Romo are both white. Anybody that is not black is a victim of the caste system as well. By the way Dat Nguyen has been hired by the Cowboys as a defensive assistant coach(probably linebacker coach).

He's not white, but he's not black. He's sufferd 100% of the caste system and I belive he should be supported by this site.

I consider Kevin white for this site's purposes, and I don't see why that is so hard to grasp. If he looks white, acts white, and/or is treated as white, then he's white for our purposes IMHO.

I consider this to be a site about fairness, not about race. It seems unfair that it is just assumed that blacks are superior athletes and as a consequence the other races are, therefore, treated unfairly.

i agree with Colonel Reb on this. for the record, here's my take on the issue and then i'll shut-up about it.
as far as the NFL is concerned there are basically two categories players fall into: white and black. the rare exceptions to this system are the handful of polynesian players. that being said, if a guy isn't accepted as black, then he must be white. Kaesviharn has certainly been treated as a whiteathlete his entire career, and if you met him on the street you would see a white man.
all this "his great grandmother was part something or other" crap, or "his dad was born in Thailand" stuff, does nothing but make us look petty and foolish. i wish everyone would cut it out.
if he looks white, acts white, and is treated as white, then the NFL/NBA thinks he is white, even if some "genealogists" here believe differently.

I agree also. Some of the newer posters haven't been aware of our past discussions about this issue and particular players so I can see why it came about again.
The bottom line is, we stand for fairness and root for white players and whoever else we want to. It's a personal choice that is going to differ from person to person. The Caste System is set up to artificially boost blacks at the expense of whites. Despite America's rampant "multiculturalism" and "multiracialism"the Caste System remainspretty much a black-white dynamic except for baseball. Anyone who is even the slightest bit "black" is assumed to have magical athletic powers. Someone like Kaesviharn -- and just about everyone else who is a mixture of white and something else other than black --is not.
Kaesviharn went to a small football school and yet was able to step right in as a free agent in the middle of an NFL season and be a very capable starting cornerback. For his reward, he was demoted to backup safety. I hope he gets the opportunity to start in New Orleans because he is almost always productive when he plays and I believe over the course of a season he would be one of the best safeties in the league.

Can anyone explain why if his dad is Thai why he has the last named Kaesviharn? is that a thai name?
