There was someone on this board asking if there were any white American boxers on the rise.Well there is one that I think could be pretty good and his name is Kelly Pavlik. He's from Youngstown,Ohio, also the home of former lightweight champ Ray"Boom Boom"Mancini, and fights as super-middleweight.He's coming off a strong performance against Dorian Beaupierre, whom he blew out in 3 rounds.Kelly has a typical story in the boxing business as white fighter who doesn't get any respect from a lot of people, like the media and fellow fighters who tried to bully him and make him lose confidence in himself.Pavlik never said so,but I'm sure those fighters were black, once again needing to protect their turf, their sport.Pavlik has hung in there and is ready to move up the ladder as he pacts a devastating punch on his tall lanky frame. He has 21 knockouts in 24 victories against no defeats.
