kelly pavlik vs. edison miranda

check out youtube. there are many posts saying Edison Miranda will destroy Pavlik and that this is just a pre fight for Miranda Taylor. Guess who is posting these comments. White kids. I am sick of this.
 
In one of my earlier posts, I said that Pavlik will dominate Miranda from the outside. Kelly will use his jab, movement then drop the right on the slower, prodding Miranda. I have seen some Miranda's fights and he takes shots, gets out of posistion and displays an awkward "style" Pavlik by a KNOCKOUT!

I'm hoping you're right - I'd love to see Pavlik KO the loud-mouthed Miranda.

I can't wait until Pavlik knocks Miranda out, then moves on to the S-L-O-W and over rated Taylor. We will have a white middle champ soon.
 
White Noise, im afraid to dissapoint you but Jermain 'runaway' Taylor is now very likely to finally fight Calzaghe if he beats Cory Spinks that is. However I still think Pavlik would have a very good chance against Taylor. I love the ghost's style although as usual the white American boxer doesn't get the backing he deserves from boxing fans. I'm behind him all the way!
 
A Calzaghe shot at Taylor is great. I see Joe outfighting Taylor for a win on points. I do not want to see Joe vs Kelly. I hate to have two very good whites destroy themselves againts each other.

How do you know that it's white kids doing it? More than likely it's the same ole Puerto Rican boxing contingent, they always make a lot of noise.

I'm not terribly worried at all about this fight. Miranda is totally overhyped, a slow power puncher with limited boxing skills. He has nothing more than the proverbial puncher's chance against Kelly.He's oversold because of the hard-knocks life back story and the fact that he fights out of Puerto Rico. I just hope Pavlik is not lured into a slugging match with Miranda. He could possibly play into Miranda's only winnable strategy and lose a decision. Pavlik need's to fight smart and break him down instead of exchanging blow for blow.
I have watched talented white fighter's in the past lose match's because they want to prove their toughness. That's not a very good recipe for a long term career in boxing and Pavlik has the power, build and speed to make wave's in that division for year's to come and then retire with brain's intact.
Arturo Gatti comes to mind when I think of tough white fighter's. Gatti had good, sound fundamental boxing skill's but early in his career preferred to go toe to toe with his opponent's. Over time the punishment take's it's toll and you wind up with dementia later in life. Freddy Roach is a prime example. Tough, tough white kid who refused to take a step backward's. Unfortunately he's paying the price today.

It was a slugging match from time to time, and Miranda did land some excellent right hands, but Pavlik out-boxed him and out-slugged him. Pavlik's game plan was to back him up and force him to fight going backwards, so he had to be aggressive. But there were times when I wondered why he was fighting on the inside when he could just pick him apart from the outside and back him up that way. At any rate, he got the job done. JD074, The 1st round made me a nervous wreck! I thought Pavlik was going to try and prove he was the tougher man and I thought it may backfire on him. But he stood his ground, gave a dazzling display of combination's to both head and body and looked awesome in the process. Great fight!
 
Pavlik always fights aggressive.Look at his fights on youtube.thats his style. just pure forward aggression with power in both hands to go with good fundamental boxing skills to go with a iron chin.

jermain taylor's days as champion are numbered.pavlik will smother him and throw bombs nonstop with that forward killer agression.if jermain taylor can't even ko or hurt spinks how will he handle Pavlik's power?My guess is he CANNOT.

Speaking of Jerm Taylor he is what is wrong with boxing.You can throw in guys like Spinks and Mayweather as well.They're a bunch of insects that touch you and run away,oh please don't hurt me.Boxing is doing just fine with the Eastern-Euros and guys like Kelly Pavlik thank-you very much.I trust everyone saw the Taylor-Stinks fight.Yawn.

Thats why people are going to UFC they want to see some fighting and some guys get hit and hurt, it's a blood sport and that's why the fans watch.
