Karsten Warholm already had the world record before the 2020 Olympics. All he did was go and win the gold medal while shattering the old record and going
sub 46 seconds. The Nordic Viking is the King of the Sprint Hurdles World. Epic, Amazing, spetacular and incredible. The best to ever live! :)

Warholm ran the 400- meter hurdles faster than 23 Olympic sprinters who ran the 400 meters without hurdles.

Race + post race interview from Eurosport.

Why he does not run the 400m ? He will smash the WR there too easily !?

Karsten Warholm just confirmed that he will run 400m flat in the next Diamond League on the 26th of August ... ;)

Now this is what I'm really pumped to see. Let's not expect a world record in this race but I do see at minimum a sub 44 second time!

My evaluation of Karsten’s 400m potential before the 400h final was a gross under estimate.( I said 43.5 to perhaps a world record.)
After seeing his powerful closing burst to the finish line, I think he can run sub 43s if this becomes his new full time event.

the black American announcer in the record-setting Gold Medal race insisted that Warholm lacked the speed of Benjamin but has superior strength ... perhaps this upcoming event will lay that claim to rest?

He did his 400 PB of 44.87 back in June of 2017. So he should be able to chunk quite a bit off of that. His best 400 H race 0f 2017 was 48.22 (August 24th). Therefore his hurdles time improved by 2.28. Now, does that mean his straight 400 time can improve by 2.28 (putting him at 42.59)? I don't think so as there is high level of technique involved in hurdling. It is not just shear speed. But, to repeat myself, he should shave quite a bit off of his 2017 PB if he is feeling good. :)

I can't get his super shoes comments out of mind. He feels the Nike super shoes allowed the 2nd place guy to get as close to him as he did. He feels they are cheating. I wish he would wear them. If they are allowed, why give the other guys an unfair advantage?

Karsten runs the 400m today in Lausanne.
I'm really hoping he breaks the European Record (44.33, which was set in 1987), and maybe runs sub-44, or better!

I'm gonna miss it as I have to do stuff all day long. I will be excited to get home and see what happened. I'm pumped for this race. I think he has
a chance at the All Time 400 Meters European Record but the conditions will have to be right. I predict he does it! Love live Viking Karsten Warholm!

Super slow 400m race. The winner was over 45 seconds. Not worth mentioning times.

Think of Karsten as being the greatest/most athletic outfielder in baseball history and then he switches to being a fielder in cricket. He would still be the greatest but it would take some time to get used to having to catch without a glove.
