K.Kenteris & Katterina Thannou are looking like they are
going to almost certainly cleared of all drug charges
against them.They have both submitted new evidence to
prove their innocence.Both of them were not allowed to
run in their home town of Athens in the Summer Olympics.
Kenteris was the Defending Olympic 200 Meter Champion,
defending World 200 Meter Champion,and the Defending
European 200 Meter Champion.Basically he was unbeatable
and was not allowed to go for another gold.Thannou was
the Defending Silver Medalist from the last Olympics in
Australia.Only roided up Marion Jones beat her.She was
also banned and looks likely to be cleared.It is a
travesty that they were banned from the games and now
will probably be cleared.If I were them,I would sue for
money,and mental suffering.Imagine if they banned Carl
Lewis from competing in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic
Summer Games.Oh,but he is not white so it probably
would not happen.

It's cool that Kenteris and Thannou are going to be cleared and I truly wanted to believe that they were drug-free,but their actions before the games sure seemed suspicious.I mean the way they took off like that when they knew they had to lay down a sample and their get-away vehicle was some sort of scooter that they crashed.There wasn't any report of such an accident occuring and everything was so hush-hush for so long afterwards that you had to have thought they were hiding something.I don't know.

The Greek Athletic Foundation cleared both Kenteris and
Thannou of all charges against them.Now it is up to the
IAAF to decide whether to appeal the decision or to
allow them to run again.It is just about now or never
since Kenteris is around 33 now.I can't say for sure
whether they are innnocent or not but I do know that
Marion Jones and many others competed at Athens.These
two greek sprinters had their life dream of competing
in the olympics at Athens,Greece taken away from them!
It is very sad and if nothing else,I hope they are
allowed to run a couple more years.
