Justin Zimmer

Justin Zimmer is a defensive tackle for the Montreal Alouettes. He went undrafted in the 2016 NFL draft and spent time with the Bills and Saints but never made the 53 man roster.

Zimmer tested out to be very athletic and was highly productive at the division 2 level. I looked at video of him and I thought he looked like an NFL player. He reminded me of JJ Watt.

I'm interested in following his career because I think he's being cheated by the caste system. I think he's good enough to play in the NFL.

I was high on him when he was entering the league as well, he can start in the league just needs a chance. (*as should Klug and Hunt)

Good news! Justin Zimmer has signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

Zimmer has high end athleticism and was extremely productive at Division 2 Ferris. He's bounced around the last couple of years between the NFL and CFL.

If Zimmer is given a chance to play he could develop and make a team and maybe become a good starter. But, as with a lot of white players, that's a big if.

Before the 2016 NFL draft I watched a lot of video of Zimmer. He reminded me of JJ Watt. The video, along with his high end athletic testing, made me think he could be a star player in the NFL. I even started this thread about him.

I haven't changed my opinion about him. I think all this guy needs is a chance. He came from a Division 2 school so he needs some development time. But if he doesn't play he can't develop.

I think the reason Zimmer hasn't been given this opportunity is because he's white. Another D2 player, defensive lineman Matt Judon, came out the same draft year. He was drafted in the 5th round. This year he was a pro bowler. Judon is black. He got an opportunity to play.

Zimmer is currently a backup for the Browns. All he needs is a chance...

Should we start a thread titled CFL players that should be in the NFL? I'm thinking of making a video montage of them playing college and CFL if I can find it
