I know he is not 100% white but if youappear caucasian and play tailback in the NFL you better get dreadlocks if you want playing time. I imagine if he got a haircut and dyed it blonde he would have been move to the practice squad and never been described as"speedy" in the media guide. Look at this pic.

Fargas qualifies as the Nick Goings of the AFC.

Fast, but not a very good runner and also injury prone, yet another example that a lot more goes into running than just straight line speed.


What is Fargas, some sort of hispanic mixture? I didn't watch Starsky and Hutch and don't know know what his actor-father looks like, but the name sounds like he's from south of the border.

His dad is Puerto Rican and predominately black ie he looks like Sammy Sosa. Funny but he never plays hispanics in movies..

His mother is caucasian not sure if she is ethnic Puerto Rican too..

I still beleive Fargas is more ethnically white than black or hispanic. Hell I am going to root for him because their are so few running backs who don't resemble him or his other bretheren at all in the leauge. I mean he probably knows deep down inside he can't really claim to be white and have any street cred in the leauge especially playing in Oakland.

Antonio Fargas father was fromPuerto Rico, and mother was from Trinidad. Their you have it Justin Fargas 50% white 25% puerto Rican And 25% Trinadadian. Does not have any ameican black in him at all.

Damn looks pretty white to me as well I wish his father wasn't so damn dark.

Either way he has just enough black in him to be allowed to play runningback in the NFL.

Fargas signs with the UFL and is likely out of the NFL for good. He's a good runner, better than a lot of the backup RBs in the league. Maybe he's too light skinned for his own good. From Rotoworld:

The UFL's Omaha Nighthawks have announced the signing of numerous former NFL players, including former Raiders RB Justin Fargas. The Nighthawks' roster almost looks similar to how a legit NFL expansion team would. I can not believe he will make money in this start up league, one I had no idea existed. He certainly would make more being a back up scrub. Maybe he has lost two to three steps.

Long story short. He did not save or invest his money wisely...surprise, and now is playing beyond his peak years for money, any kind of money to be a human wrecking ball and less chance of walking away without a limp or brain damage. Good luck to him.

It's probably true, or he can't retire with grace. Running backs that are about 30 don't learn a curve ball or how to read defenses. They just get slower and become either power backs or converted fullbacks.
