Joshua vs Pulev

I was waiting for Area Required to post the card but he's been busy so I will pick up the slack.

This fight while on the surface looks like it could be cake walk for Joshua there are doubts about his mental fortitude when he is hit after the embarrassing ko at the hands of future Biggest Loser contestant Andy Ruiz.

At the weigh in today Pulev tried to goad Joshua into an intense argument maybe it was fake but I suspect Pulev wants a firefight similar to Joshua vs Whyte so that he can land a counter punch on Joshua's whiskers.

PS Joshua is a 10 to 1 favorite against Pulev but he was a 12 to 1 betting favorite against Ruiz and we know how that went...

PS2 for posters and lurkers if you care to see the fight live the main event will go off at 6PM EST as it's in London England.

In the evening ESPN has a Top Rank Card with Shakur Stevenson topping the bill with cult hero and prospect killer Clay Collard on the undercard.

Note Collard has beaten 4 undefeated prospects in the gym like fights without crowds on Top Rank broadcasts on Espn.

I wonder if he will be jinxed as he is facing a once beaten prospect on this card...

But that was a bit premature maybe so I understand if you didn't see it.

I want to see Hughie Fury get a good win and some momentum, Wach and Pulev are old CF favorites but they are over the hill in my humble opinion

Maybe a little bit of context here? Kuzmin looked pretty bad. Im not sure why it is that so many white heavyweights have just absolutely terrible bodies. Its not a bodybuilding contest or anything but they shouldnt be sloppy fat if you fight for a living.

Pulvev could not fight father time nor Joshau's right, KO'd. Next is Fury. Pulvev looked, pedestrian. Joshua was gassing a round before Pulvev was KO'd. Pulvev did not seize the moment.

Off day for our guys but you couldn't expect Pulev to have good odds of winning this.

Yes in the 8th round which might have been the only round Pulev won he cuffed Joshua around a bit and Joshua had a slightly fearful look to his eyes(Joshua never had this before Ruiz, even when he was stunned by Whyte or on the verge of being stopped by Wlad).

In the 9th Joshua was puffing a bit, but Pulev didn't try and seize the moment and late in the 9th round he fell apart suddenly from some massive uppercuts.

PS we got a upset special on the Stevenson card on ESPN as Masayoshi Nakatani rose from two violent knock downs to stop former hot prospect Felix Verdejo.

Curiously enough the Japanese national has a similar up and down style to Pulev, but he of course wasn't facing a championship level fighter.

Not so fast! Wilder has to be dealt with. Wilder is taking Arum/Fury to court for violating their contractual agreement. Arum has stated when the fight couldn't go off by December the contractual agreement was voided.

I have a feeling Wilder will be bought off with a payment and a iron clad contract to fight the winner of Fury vs Joshua. Wilder may have a proverbial cigar store Indian type opponent or two to be ready for the winner of the reputed 100 million dollar fight.

PS, Usyk is basically fighting Joe Joyce in an unofficial professional rematch of a match that Usyk won years ago in a professional tournament format for the WBO heavyweight belt.
