This is for all the marbles at 140 lbs. Looking forward to it. I say its a 50/50 fight. But if Taylor uses his outstanding movement and quick punches he should win. But Ramirez is strong has great stamina. We shall see.

Yeah looks like a fairly high profile fight. It's getting a lot of coverage. Not knowing much of either fighter I'll have to go along with the toss-up as for the winner.

I think Taylor is the sharper boxer, but if it becomes a war of attrition type fight the stronger looking Mexican might have the edge.

Holy cow did Taylor just floor Ramirez with a Left Uppercut from hell! Ramirez is one tough SOB though. Very entertaining fight, glad to see Taylor getting stronger as this tough fight goes on!

Bummer time to have my satellite TV out (my fault). But they did show that wicked uppercut knockdown on the internet site. Nasty. I thought it was over but Ramirez survived.

Taylor is ahead on the media scoring.

Congrats to Taylor Undisputed 140 lbs Champ. He is the sixth to ever accomplish that. I believe Taylor was fighting the wrong fight in the beginning. Macho v Macho against tough as nails Ramirez, but his "sneaky power" bailed him out and wreaked an on coming Ramirez, Taylor should have used his boxing skills from the beginning.
No doubt, Taylor lands in the top ten of PFP fighters. Great night.

Good job Taylor! I was busy the last couple days so I didn't catch this.

Won the decision on American soil as well.

Taylor is a skilled fighter who engaged the gritty Ramirez on his terms, but the scoring on this fight was another joke 114 to 112 3 times reminds me of various King cards over the years. So you are going to tell me Ramirez won 7 rounds of this fight?

I nearly missed the fight as I assumed it would start at 11pm EST but ESPN had a random first round NBA game that had priority over a battle for the undisputed title. I think Taylor is the first undisputed champion at 140 since either Hatton or the Tsyzu keeper.

Was that not one of the worst refereed fights you ever saw? I think the only reason Ramirez survived the first knockdown was the ref gave at least twenty seconds to recover. I believe it was Kenny Bayless who usually is a dependable ref but he was off his game Sat. night.

I remember watching fights with Kenny Bayless when he was coming up and thinking wow this guy is good.

Maybe boxing refs can be over the hill too?

Bayless held Wilder up in the second Fury fight as well, he seems to be a cog in the caste system.

If you watch fights from about 20 years ago Bayless looked like a runner, now he looks fat and dumpy. That might not seem like much but many times when a referee should retire he isn't agile enough to get the right angles to see fouls or even to stop a beating one punch earlier, than one punch too late.

I remember Tony Perez nearly letting Tommy Morrison die at the hands or Ray Mercer because of his slow ability to get between the fighters, as far as I know he never worked a major bout again.

PS, I remember legendary referee Arthur Mercante even mentioning this was the reason why he retired and started only working as a judge.

Booth you are correct, but I am doing my best to fight it. Right before COVID hit I would go to the gym 5 times a week. Ride the stationary bike 45 mins. Barely a sweat. Still 15 lbs overweight. Then the gyms were shut down. I began running again. dropped 10 lbs. and since March doing Spartan classes or high-intensity workouts with light weights and using body weight. Now I down to 150 lbs and stand 507. Nice four-pack going. LOL

Unless it's the big adios your body will bounce back quickly. I remember I didn't seriously exercise for years and about ten years ago I took my weightlifting seriously and within 6 months I transformed by body.

I too have gotten fat and soft, I thought the pandemic would be over or at the levels it is now within 2 or 3 months so I didn't bother to do much exercise and I am the heaviest I have ever been(It's not by much). I wish I had interest in jail type exercises or if I had bought a weighted vest. The best form of exercise I have done is 4 mile round trips to liquor stores and a stop off at the grocery and hauling 10 pounds of groceries on my back home for the back end of the 2 mile walk. But I don't have the time to do this too often.
