the UK announcers actually said it might be a no contest - yes I heard them say that! - and I knew the fix was going to be in unless Smith KO'd the bum - the UK announcers were saying that the negro had won most of the rounds even rounds that he obviously didn't
The tone in John Rawling's voice when he talks about black boxers is similar to most men's voice when they speak of beautiful women - he sounds like a homosexual with a strong attraction to Negro men. Barry Jones sounds effeminate and also gives unwarranted praise to Negro fighters. They both dislike and discredit white boxers, except for those from the UK who are promoted by their boss.

This may not be a very popular post, but Hopkins favors his own kind as much as we favor ours so I don't really care to dislike him for some things he said publicly years ago. Since then he has had nothing but praise for Kovalev, to whom he lost, and has heaped praise on Lomachenko, and other white fighters.
And Bernard Hopkins is a very good commentator, he's quite fair and provides insight. I don't hear him discredit European/white boxers like Max Kellerman does.

In contrast, Andre Ward's trainer Virgil Hunter comes across as racist when commentating, as does Ward himself (although to a lesser degree than Hunter).

I didn't bother watching the live fight because I figured Hopkins would jab and grab and frustrate his way to a boring decision over a limited Smith. At least that was the original script when they cooked up this fight and I bought into it. Of course when I heard how it turned out I had to watch the replay.

Hadn't really seen much of Smith other than his lucky punch win over Fonfara, so I didn't know what a physical fighter he was. Not a safe opponent at all at this point in Hopkins career. During the HBO broadcast the announcers are discussing how Dan Rafael had recommended Smith to Hopkins as a suitable (as in safe?) opponent just as Smith knocks him out of the ring. They couldn't have timed it better.

Still, Hopkins just being there was some sort of achievement. He was fifty-two but he fought like a forty-two year old.

Happy for Smith! The kid has got power and a great work ethic. Cool to see a blue collar NY kid with Irish ancestry find some fame in today's anti white world! Back to back KOs over well respected opponents!

Congrats to the pride of Mastic Beach, LI, NY! I know quite a few people who know him, went to school with him, etc.

A modern day James Braddock? Good company to share.

I think u told me but I forgot - do u live on Long Island now? The guy who sent me the flyer that I posted above was a carpenter on Long Island before he moved upstate. I don't know if he knew Smith or more likely knew some people who did, because working in construction he did know a lot of those guys. I haven't asked him. And yeah, Celtic, finally a Long Island Irish champ. I am still pissed off that Gerry Cooney didn't become heavyweight champ because he could have and should have.

Were you listening to their broadcast then? Do you remember how after Smith knocked Hopkins out of the ring they were speculating whether it can be called a no contest? I'm not sure now but they may have also been speculating that Smith might even be disqualified. I was afraid they weren't going to show the replay at all

I'm in Brooklyn but I know many people from the Mastic / Shirley area of LI. Honestly I'd never heard of Joe Smith Jr until yesterday afternoon when I received a text. It was from someone I know saying a guy he graduated HS with was fighting Hopkins on HBO. I didn't think much of it as the fellas name sounded like an afrolete and there's a lot of darkies living in Mastic Beach. It's a real rough town. Anyway, imagine my pleasant surprise Sunday morning watching highlights of a White man blasting that old bastard out of the ring. Jubilation.

Joe needs a trainer to refine his jab. If he is able to perfect a strong jab with his long arms, he will become a force. Time for him to find that trainer. Maybe Roach could help him, or Sanchez, the trainer i.e. GGG trainer, not the dirty Sanchez. LOL

I used to work in Brooklyn, the nice parts, like Bedford Stuyvesant and Brownsville.

Bernard Hopkins: "I will never lose to a white boy".
Current count is that 3 white boys beat him: Calzaghe, Kovalev and Smith. Bet he never thought that would ever happen. He last memory of his last fight will be being knocked silly and being launched out of the ring by Smith's murderous "pushing" punches. LOL

I couldn’t help chortling when Hopkins was knocked through the ropes and clean out of the ring - arms flopping about, legs dead, plunging to the ground to land in an undignified heap.

That being said, one cannot derive any genuine pleasure from gloating over the spectacular knockout of a fellow who is just shy of 52 years of age, regardless of his race. After all, what other result can be expected when an almost 52 year old bloke steps into the ring with a decent professional roughly half his age?

As if getting belted straight out of the ring wasn’t humiliating enough, Hopkins managed to make things even worse for himself by spinning a ridiculous excuse for his defeat.

The fanciful alternate realities (read: lies) these ******* deluded Negroes attempt to concoct never cease to amaze. Hopkins clearly gets clobbered with a series of five punches yet still has the barefaced gall to claim he was “pushed” out of the ring. ’Tis no wonder many of these ex-cotton and sugarcane harvesting implements and all round mindless beasts of burden believe “black Moorish scientists” invented everything in sight and that the “White devils” stole all of that bountiful Negro “knowledge” and deviously used it to subjugate the unmistakably brainiac (not to mention - natchraly afletik…) “Nubian” race.

At least the Negroes who posted the following video provided an honest assessment…

Looks like this is"White Boy Weekend!" First Poviken makes a statement by Ko'n Whyte, then Smith makes a statement in KO'n top contender Alvarez, who beat Kovalev couple of years before he threw fights. Congrats to our guys this weekend!

If Joe can perfect his jab, he could become undisputed 175 lbs Champ. He just has to train and believe in it1

Yeah went to check the write-up on the Povetkin win and spotted this bonus win by Smith over a quality fighter.

Love Joe's blue collar background and attitude.
