Jimmer is slated to go 10th, but I think he should go higher especially if he is closer to 6'2 than 6'0.
His shot is there, he can really score and he looks strong for a point guard so he should have the ability to finish shots in the NBA and get deep into the lane. If a team needs outside shooting, a good second or third option and a good point guard then he is the pick. I think the T Wolves, Clippers, and lots of other teams would be good fits.
If he is a legit 6'2 then he is close to Deron Williams. Jimmer and Deron are about the same in terms of athleticism and speed. I think Jimmer has an elite shot and scoring skills and if you put that with his good size and his leadership abilities then he can get in that top point guard range.
I also think that he will be the top guard taken, but if you already have D-Will (Nets) then you make Jimmer a super sixth man. Kemba Walker is the second guard that should be selected. Great player, not really a pass first point guard but he is a good scorer and athlete. Jimmer probably has a purer stroke and more range on his shot, but they can both get hot. Both are great scorers. I haven't looked closely but I would bet that Kemba has a better first step, and Jimmer is a better catch and shoot guy. Both have good handles, not sure who has better court vision.
Kyrie Erving is probably the third point guard in this draft class. More of a scorer but not in the Jimmer/Kemba realm.
Decently athletic but not in the class of Derrick Rose. Not as fast as John Wall. I am not sure he is a guy you can build around. I am not sure that he is that much better than Brandon Knight. Knight probably has a better shot, but I don't he think he is a superstar either. I don't think either Knight or Erving is better than Darren Collison, Raymond Felton, or Brandon Jennings. Those two guys don't really offer much value in the top ten.
Jimmer has an upside of Mark Price or a stretch upside of a smaller Pete Maravich.
Kemba can be a hybrid of Allen Iverson and Ben Gordon. I think I would give a slight edge to Jimmer since he is a better pure shooter and better intangibles to be a better point guard. But both are good and should be picked in the top 5 or 6.
Chandler Parsons is my top "value" guy. He can do it all and he has good size, length and athleticism. Looks like a top 15 pick if I were drafting and possibly top ten. A do it all kind of player but at 6'10 at the small forward position.
Derrick Williams does a lot of stuff but he is more of a power forward at 6'7. Williams is projected as being a possible number 1 pick. If you are drafting players who can do some of everything then I think Parsons also goes in the lottery.
The Cavs have two picks and and should look at Parsons with the pick they received from the Clippers. With their own pick they should look at Jimmer, Kemba, and maybe Sullinger if those two guys are gone.
Perry Jones is a lottery guy as is Harrison Barnes. Jones is a 6'11 small forward but he is a guy who you draft on potential. Barnes will be a good player. Probably a small forward or a 2. Not an incredible athlete. Should be picked somewhere in the top 10. Parsons is a good combination of Perry's length, athleticism and upside and Barnes' pedigree, character, shooting touch and scoring range. Still, I think Parsons is the better value pick of those three.
Kyle Singler is probably a notch below that but I still like him if you can get him at 15-20.
He needs to show more toughness. A great final run would really help his draft stock.
He has good height and experience and could put the right team over the top. He would make a great sixth man for the Bulls along with Korver, Gibson, Asik, and Brewer off the bench. But they have two picks towards the end of the first round and he might not be there.
Nolan Smith is solid. Not an all-star type player but he could be a good rotation guy. More of a combo guard than a pure point guard. Could be a late first round pick. If you get him in the second round he could be a steal.
Comparable to Ben Hansbrough. Nbadraft.net has Hansbrough going 60 to the Spurs but I think he goes higher. If the Bulls get a good player at 25 or so and went with a bigger guy then I think they should look at Hansbrough with their pick at around 28 or 29. If Parsons and Singler are off the board at 25 then I think they go best available "upside" guy and then go after Hansbrough later. He would be a geat backup point guard to Derrick Rose and a good 3 point guy to pair with Korver coming off the bench. Those guys are the shooters, Gibson and Brewer give you size, length, and defense off the bench and Asik is an ideal backup center. Hansbrough would be their new Paxon/Kerr type with Paxon's leadership and clutch shooting and Kerr's great 3 point stroke. I could even see the Bulls using a Rose/Hansbrough backcourt to close out games with their smarts and ball handling. Rose is the better scorer and Hansbrough is the better shooter.
Sullinger is a good big man. Should be solid, maybe not an all-star.
Could be like Glen Davis or Dejuan Blair. If you have a great team and all you need is a power forward then Sullinger is your pick. Not if you are the Clippers or T Wolves or probably even the Nets (Humphries).
The Bucks could use him to pair with Bogut. I can see how the Cavs would be interested but Hickson and Harangody are solid and they need more of a franchise guy. Honestly I think Harrelson from Kentucky is a better value because rebounding translates better than inside scoring does for inside players of average athleticism.
I think teams need to look at Harrelson in the second round. He gives you size, rebounding, and toughness. A good fourth or fifth big man who could make an emergency start. He could probably start on the Knicks tomorrow. Maybe the Heat too. Could be a good backup center for the Lakers. A good solid second round pick. Great backup for Dwight Howard...
Who else?
