Very sad to hear. His son had Krabbes and since he has founded a foundation for awareness and research of all the leukodystrophies. My niece has MLD and they flew out my sister and husband twice to Buffalo for conferences.

Jim Kelly's doctors say his cancer is treatable and potentially curable.

Kelly's doctors say surgery will not be needed at this point. His cancer that recurred in his jaw will be treatable for now with chemotherapy and radiation, however, surgery may be an option later.

I think doctors and Jim have been putting a brave front on for Jim's fans but the press conference today showed how grave his health is. Both Thurman Thomas and Jim's wife broke down when they talked about Jim. Thomas stated how Jim was in tremendous pain and if he could he would take one for Jim, like Jim did for the Bills for many years as a player.
