Unfortunately they had a built-in excuse for Staley. He had
eleven surgeries, according to one article. Knee, ankle,
shoulder, everything. According to the same article, he ran a
4.45 40, had a 36 inch vertical jump, and bench pressed 225
nineteen times. So he had the physical components, and the
great college career, but they could always fall back on his
injuries/ surgeries. Really sad.

I don't buy the injury excuse because he was doing great
in pre-season before he was cut.Everyone knows that he
would play for the minimum.That is not that much of a
risk.Players like Garrison Hearst and W.McGahee have 2nd
and 3rd chances.Why not Staley?For the minimum salary,
a team has everything to gain and very little to lose.
Luke has proved he can still run with anyone.I would have
to say it is more down to the color of his skin.One only
needs to look at what happens to these high school and
college kids to see that!Go Lumsden and Luke,wake up and
play in the CFL or Europe.

You're exactly right about the injuries. Look how McGahee was drafted in the first round even after suffering a horrific blowout of his knee.
Too bad Luke didn't try the CFL. It has to beat doing grunt work in a mall for low pay, which is what he was doing the last time he made the news. He could still be a star in Canada if he set his mind to it.

If I'm Lumsden,then I would go to the nfl combine anyway
even if I wasn't invited.You never know who might be a
no show or get injured.If he is there watching,they
might just say the heck with it and let him go though
all of the tests to.Demand a spot Jesse!You deserve it.

Being assertive is the only way these great white players will be able to improve their lot. If they aren't being treated fairly, they need to tell everyone about it. It's time whites use the media for our benefit.

they would have invited lumsden but they had to free up a spot for clarett, who of cousrse has a very busy scheldule between and working and going to the welfare office. Plus he doesn't have a car and neither does his girlfreind who is in middle school.

Clarett won't amount to much in the NFL, he's too greedy. I imagine he will have a career like that of Charles Woodson, the Heisman-not winner from 1997. People will forget about him soon enough. I hope Lumsden gets a chance with someone so he can prove himself. That is, if they give him a chance to.
Just read the Lumsden article and it occurs to me that a large part of the problem is what was referred to in the article as "taking the high road". Turning the other cheek is only going to get you slapped again. The anti-white bias needs to be talked about but the only people that will get attention by talking about it are those directly affected like Lumsden, Staley etc... Of course they risk being jeered and having calumny heaped upon them but until the actual aggrieved parties start making some noise, especially in the team sport realm, most folk will just go along with the current received wisdom.
The NFL GMs, the Div. 1A coaches never have to answer questions as to why certain, at least to caste footballers, obvious choices for at least a chance to show whether or not they have what it takes are never given that chance. The athletes that are screwed by the caste system need to screw up their courage and let it be known that they've been screwed. The powers that be need to be put on the hot seat.

That time is b.s. Jesse Lumsden will be running in one
of the pro scouting camps in either Arizona or California
later this month of March.Expect him to turn some heads!

Here is the latest on Lumsden.His dad Neil said that he
will be working out within the next few weeks but would
not say where or exactly when.It is still a mystery.
There are 9 cfl teams and 2 nfl teams interested as of
right now.Hopefully a few more nfl teams will come
watch the workout too, but at least 2 have expressed
alot of interest.He has been working out in Scottsdale,
Arizona preparing for what could be the tryout of his
life.I really hope he can nail his 40 times and show
everyone his strenght with the bench press.I will keep

Hopefully he will impress those guys and make a team. Maybe we will get to see him in the preseason.
After hearing nothing about Jesse Lumsden for a while there,I decided to try and get some info from the horse's mouth,if you will.Jesse bartends at an on-campus pub at Mac University,so Igave them a call to see if could maybe talk with Jesse about what's happening,but like white lightning said,Lumsden is still in Arizona working out and when he returns is anybody's guess.So we will have to wait and see what happens next.

Jesse was drafted 6th overall in the first round by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL.If he has to play anywhere in Canada this would be the place,since he played his college ball at Mac which is in Hamilton and he is from Burlington,which is right next door to Hamilton,so I can see Jesse getting all kinds of hometown support.Also the Ti-Cats head-coach was Jesse's coach at Mac for three years,so that can only help.By no means am I saying Jesse can't cut it in the NFL,just the opposite,it's just if things don't go right with Seattle and he doesn't catch on with another team immediately afterward,he has a nice place to come home to.Another tidbit,the CFL draft is nothing like the NFL's,it's just one big conference call.

Keep in mind that had Jesse Lumsden not signed in Seattle he would have gone first or second overall.
