Yeah anyplace with those types of demographics, like the Viking locker room for instance, must really suck.

I wonder if he will be forced to issue a humbling groveling apology, ala John Rocker, for his poor judgement in honesty. Maybe since there are so few jews in Detroit the CM gatekeepers will let it pass.

not sure why he can't conceal carry in New Orleans. Louisiana is a pretty conservative state with good gun laws.

The city has tough anti-gun laws. Guess where the gun problems originated from........

My Missouri permit is good in New Orleans. NO WAY I would venture almost anywhere in the Louisiana lower parishes without packing heat.

There are probably generally two kinds of people who will hate Allen for his remarks: the people who live in Detroit and have numbingly accepted it as their home, and the self-righteous non-Detroit people who will spew all manner of "Jared Allen is a racist" vitriol at the man in public, but privately would rather drown themselves than live in Detroit.

(Because it's too brown and gloomy.

— and it sucks.)

Those were awesome remarks he made. Good for him to say the truth. If it'd been a black man criticizing a "hillbilly hick town" then it'd have been perfectly okay; either laughed at, or not even reported as news at all.

Allen didn't say anything explictly or even implicitly racial given the racial demographics of just about every large U.S. city, so I don't see him getting "in trouble" for it. His remarks were played on the NFL Network today, after which it was treated in a light-hearted manner by Fran Charles and Mike Lombardi, who quickly moved on to what Charles called "a more serious topic."

Kudos to Jared Allen for accurately describing these two American hellholes. As with any place, in America or elsewhere, that is taken over by a majority black population, things descend into third world status fairly quickly. There are many other cities that aren't too far behind.

There are a few that are worse off too. Birmingham, AL comes to mind. My wife and I avoid that bankrupt, crime infested city on our trips to visit my family and now take a route through the heavily White portions of rural north Alabama. Nice to see at least a dozen Confederate battle flags flying along that route, including one that was 12-15 feet long.
