Jake has had quite an interesting career thus far. He's led his team to one Super Bowl and has a good shot at getting there again. He's 4-1 in post season with a passer rating over 100.Interestingly enough, he signed with New Orleans as an UNDRAFTED free agent and was sent to Europe to develop. He was cut five different times from the Saints, eventually being sent to the Cougars .

Gee,why would the Saints cut him?I wonder why.We know that he is the wrong skin tone to be a starting qb there.I've always thought that the team resembles the people there for the most part. They should still call them the Ain'ts.lol.

Jake's talent and will to win have always been underrated. Being shafted so many times by Jim Haslet in favor of Dopie Brooks has greatly fueled Delhomme's desire to show how good he is.

Jake is Great!

His dismissal from the Saints was received as a huge insult by Louisiana's large Cajun footballfan population. They loved Bobby Hebert and loved Jake Delhomme too. Now with Katrina clearing out lots of New Orleans' minority masses, the new demographics would allow more Cajun representation on the Saints football club.

Jake's mechanics and operations remind me of Dave Krieg in his prime.Edited by: Realgeorge

I haven't heard that name in a while, Realgeorge!

Hi Colonel! Good to Meet You Here !

It's noticeable to me that Dave Krieg has become an "invisible man" in NFL lore. He was hugely underrated, in my opinion one of the all-time talents of the NFL. A rocket for an arm [the media used to preach his weakness of arm, whatta bunch of bull], read defenses wonderfully, lots of smarts on the field. Played on lots of not-so-hot teams but won anyway. Had great karma and chemicals with another forgotten man, Steve Largent. In me humble opinion, Krieg-to-Largent is totally superior to the current Seattle QB to anybody, and I don't want to slander Matt Hasselbeck, who is a great guy and great leader.

I'm suspicious ... very suspicious. Why has Herr Krieg been relegated to the NFL's forgotten whiteman collection? Too clean? Too outspoken? Too good, talented? Lots of losing clubs in the 1980s would have loved to have Krieg on their roster.

I hope Jake Delhomme wins a Superbowl, it will save him from memory oblivion.Edited by: Realgeorge

Anyone else see that game winning throw by Jake against the Chargers?

I watched it. Even though I was rooting for San Diego that was a great win for the Panthers and an unbelievable clutch throw by Delhomme to win it. Good to see him back, yet another excellent white starting QB in the league.

That was a shocking upset, but I think people forgot how much Delhomme improves the team. The media doesn't talk about white veteran QBs much, not named Favre, Brady or Manning.

Yeah, I wanted the Chargers to win too, however, it was nice to see Jake come back (in an exciting way) after nearly every nut-hugger in the media wrote him off 2 years ago.

He's a great player, and I love his emotional style of play.
