One of the mroe interesting story lines will be the Jags. You have caste favorite Matt Jones who should only get better and punter Adam Podlesh a punter with 4.4 speed. His Maryland coach was thinking of plugging him in at WR but the Jags are ready to turn him into an offensive weapon with fake punts . Look for him to become an exciting addition. Hey if we can't follow RB's? --you gotta take what you can get.
 
where did you read about Jags looking at using Podlesh that way Sunshine? i'd love for them to do it, but i somehow doubt that they will. it's Jags we're talking about after all...
 
The media line about the Jagsnow is that either Reggie Williams or Matt Jones will be cut at the end of training camp.
 
they won't cut their first round pick from 2 seasons ago. i am sure if they wanted to get rid of Jones they'd try and shop him around, and maybe, just maybe there's a coach or two out there smart enough to get him on the field and use him properly.

Yeah fake punts, that's an offensive strategy, wait until 4th down to unleash your weapons. The day I'm rooting for the punter is the day I buy an Australian Rules Football rulebook and get a satelitte dish with the Kangaroo network.

4th down offense thats what I'm talking about--OK that one made me laugh. Still I think the guy will be fun and remember he becomes a defensive player after the ball is punted if that helps the matter.
 
I recall the Giants had a black punter about 5 years ago named Rodney Williams and he was supposedly "a 4th down weapon." He ran a 4.6 40 yard dash. "Black punters," I think this is the next position the NFL starts diversity training on.

That sounds about right. But how anyone could ever cut a physical specimen like Matt Jones is beyond me. But, then again, look who running the NFL.

Daniel Sepulveda is yet another great physical specimen at the punter, future of the position... 6'3, 230 and built like a rock, plus he runs 4'43 40... we'll see if Steelers plan on using him as more than a punter

my girlfriend's family hails from Mexico and Cuba and they are ALL WHITE. and so is he... i tan quite dark, would i be a mestizo to you too?

I believe Gonzo is white, since it is known his grandfather was from Spain. Im part italian and I tan quite dark to. Doesn't take away from the fact the MSM will promote him as a hispanic.
 
yeah but "hispanic" is not a race... you can be of many different races and many different heritages. terms comes from "hispano" meaning spaniard and was originally meant to mean spanish-speaking american citizen.
 
Understood Backrow, not trying to cause any quarrel with you. Just trying to give the perspective of the avg fan and how the MSM tries to cover things.
