J.J to the Bucks!!
Not sure if I like the move. The Bucks start 2 ball hogging negros, Jennings and Ellis. It would seem J.J. is stuck in the 6th man role unless they start 3 guards. Also, when he is on the court I worry he won't get many looks from his "teammates".

Anyway, he's a free agent this offseason. He needs to sign with a team that will start him and make him a focal point of the offense.

To me the move is made to make the Bucks second unit stronger and to solidify a playoff push. He'll likely be on the floor a lot at the same time as Mike Dunleavy and Center Sam Dalembert. Gives them 8 players they can rotate. If he is on the court with either Ellis or Jennings he should get a lot of open looks from 3 because both those guys can put the ball on the floor and penetrate. But like you said that depends on if the "stars" can control their will to shoot themselves. Getting J.J. was the best outcome from my perspective, it was either him of Jsmoove(Josh Smith).

Traded to the Clippers today.
Wow, the Clips break their "no Whites policy". Can't say that Doc's plantation is a good landing place for such a talented player. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Redick, 8 of the Clippers first 14 points points in the first 6 minutes of the game against the Rockets. Hopefully he's about to have a big night.

J.J. is averaging 17.6 points per game which is a career best by a wide margin. His career average is only 9.6 but that is skewed by years of under-use by the Magic. Tonight he faces the WhiteWolves of Minnesota in a potential playoff team battle.

J.J. Redick will be out for 6-8 weeks, suffering a fracture to a small bone in his right hand, with ligament damage also.

There's been some talk about J.J. Redick on the NBA thread, so I thought I would say that if there was a poster boy for getting screwed in the NBA it would be him.

Redick is now 29 years old and has been in the NBA for over 8 years. He is just now becoming a full time starter. After 8 long years!

This guy left the ACC as the all-time leading scorer, shooting 3's from half court and during his senior year improved his scoring ability by driving to the basket and getting to the line, one of the best free throw shooters in NCAA history!

The all-time leading scorer in the best college basketball conference in the country. The only thing I can compare it to, would be like a black RB or black QB in the SEC having to sit the bench in the NFL for 8 years before getting an opportunity to be a full time starter. Can you imagine Cam Newton sitting the bench for 8 years in the NFL? Never happen.

Yes J.J. has signed a decent contract and he is finally starting, but some of the best years of his NBA career have been wasted having to come off the bench!

He could have been one of the greatest scorers in NBA history!

..Redick, one of the best free throw shooters in NCAA history

Just looking at Basketball Reference's site, Redick is 23 of 25 from the free throw line in the '14-15 playoffs. He had a good shooting performance in Game 4 of their Rockets' series: 18 points 4/7 from 3 pt. line. Redick & the Clips' offense are starting to pour it on Houston.

I liked (& watched a lot of) the early-2000s Piatkowski' Clippers, who unfortunately were never legitimate championship contenders.. but this Clippers team looks like it could win the West.

Was at a bar and noticed that Redick was listed as a starter for the Clippers tonight, and had a mere 19 points in the first half! The next highest scorer on his team had 11 points at the half. But I'm sure his defense is just despicable, given that he's White and only blacks can play defense in basketball and football. Clearly they were just doing J.J. a favor by allowing him to start.

He's been their starting SG all season. He was a borderline all star. It is great to see that JJ' s career is going as well as it is.

JJ has been a full time starter since joining the LA Clippers, who he's in his 3rd season with now. The travesty is that it took until his age 29 season to be an undisputed starter. His racial apprenticeship was lengthy. Hopefully he'll go strong for another 5 seasons or so and retire with some respectable career totals.
