Byrd-Klitschko rematch set!

IBF Heavyweight Champion Chris Byrd (39-2-1, 20KO's) faces former heavyweight champion and top contender Wladimir Klitschko (45-3, 40KO's) on April 22 in Mannheim, Germany. This is a rematch of a bout that took place in October of 2000 when Klitschko took Byrd's WBO heavyweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision. Since capturing the vacant IBF title against Evander Holyfield, Byrd has successfully defended his title four times; most recently winning a unanimous decision victory over DaVarryl Williamson on October 1st, 2005. In Klitschko's last fight, he cemented his place among the top heavyweights with a unanimous decision victory over previously unbeaten Samuel Peter in Atlantic City on September 24th. I wish I could see this fight. Assuming Klitschko wins, how many of the 3 titles will be held by whites?
 
2 of the 3 main belts would be held by whites.This is the best possible scenario for Klitschko.Byrd will run and hide but eventually fall.Wlad will chase him like the bum that he is.The fight will be on HBO Col.Reb.You should go to a sports bar & watch it.I know I will be there in the front row rooting on my main man Wlad!!
 
I cant believe Byrd has signed for this fight particularly in Germany,although he probably had no choice.In betting odds Klitschko must be one of the biggest favourites in history.I remember reading the reports of their first fight in 2000 from Ring magazine and his white wife took Byrds defeat especially bad.She was apparantly crying on the plane home from Germany and was generally distraught.She probably couldnt handle the fact that her husband had been beaten so convincingly by a white man.That fight must of shattered her own caste myths and something she thought could never happen.Since then she's hated Vlad,and has pitched up for two of his fights against Mcline and Brewster.In the Mcline fight you can hear she's his most vocal supporter yelling time after time to Mcline to back him up.She's gotta prepare herself for more heartbreak because Byrd dosnt have the weapons to trouble Vlad.
 
Byrd's wife is used to her husband getting beaten by whites. Vitali was handling him quite easily until he dislocated his shoulder. Golota beat him up pretty good before getting screwed by the judges with a draw.

This is the best fight for Wlad. He still is fragile mentally but Byrd cannot hurt him. When Wlad gets the belt back his confidence should return. Then he can pay back Lamon Brewster.
 
Wlad and Byrd will be interviewed in the next hour on cold pizza...which is repeated again during the noon hour eastern time on ESPN.
 
They were just pictured in the studio side by side ..they are on after the commercial break..repeated again around 145 eastern
 
I enjoyed the interview.. they both seemed like gentlemen who had respect for each other..GO WLAD!
 
We certainly hope Wlad does not run out of gas chasing Bird. He simply needs to employ his exceptional jab, then throw the right when Bird attempts to get inside. He should not get envolved in a track meet, just let Chris come to him and it should be an easy night.
 
Byrd's only chance is out-working Wlad and winning rounds. If Peter couldn't knock out Wlad, Byrd has no chance of doing so. Obviously Wlad has an enormous physical advantage. If he fights a smart fight, he will severely hurt Byrd. Go Wlad!!!Edited by: JD074
 
Well we ae only a month away from the biggest fight of Wlads career!I myself will be taking a trip to Las Vegas for this one.My gut feeling tells me to throw a little change of Klitschko.He will knock out Byrd unless Chris just runs from him the whole fight.Regardless,it will be a huge win and Wlad will take the belt that belongs to him.I see Wlad keeping the title for at least 4 or 5 years.Go Klitschko!!
 
You will have to watch the fight on tv like everyone else. The fight is in Germany. I think Hamburg but not totally sure.........
 
I know that and will drinking some fine German Beer while in Vegas.I'm going there with some buddies so that we can put a wager on the fight.My money is on Wlad!If I had my choice,I would put a bet on it,and fly to Germany to see it live.What could be better?Maybe Jessica Biel or something but not much.

White Lightning, a younger Linda Hamilton or that girl on Dancing with the Stars Stacy Kiebler would do it for me. But Jessica Biel is not bad at all.

Stacy Kiebler is a beauty.I think you get my point.It's funny how women can just make you watch a bad tv show or movie.Two big thumbs up for both of them.

Ok guys,we are only 4 days away from what could end up being the best heavyweight fight of the year!!The last I checked,Wlad was a 3 or 4 to 1 favorite but that could change as we get closer.I don't know why,but I am a little nervous about this fight.Byrd seems to have gotten a little bigger than usual and he seems extremly confident of the knockout.I can't see him winning a decision but I hope Wlad respects his power despite the fact that he's not known for his knockout power.I will say it goes the distance.I have a weird feeling that Byrd will be ready but I feel he will still lose.Wlad needs to be ready for a war.This will be a really exciting fight.Come on Wlad,knock this bum out if he doesn't run all night.I will take a win either way as long as I don't have to ever see Byrd again!Go Klitschko!
 
Wlad will win unless Byrd can rope a dope him. Since I can't get this fight live I won't be able to see this potential massacre as it happens too bad. I just hope it's Byrd getting bashed around not Wlad doing an impression of a man drowning at sea.......
 
Wlad will take this one. His weaknesses are his confidence and his chin and Byrd can test neither one. Look for a repeat of the fight 6 years ago. That will give whites 3 of the 4 titles at heavyweight with only Hasim Rahman left as a Great Black Hope.

I think it's the opposite. He could win rounds by dancing and landing a lot of pot shots.
 
This fight is going to be a massacre mark my words.My sources have told me Wlad has been looking superior in training.He has gotten even faster and quicker on his feet.Byrd is going to earn his paycheck while taking a beating in this fight and his wife fly's home from Germany full of tears yet again.Edited by: onewarrior5
 
I hope Wlad wins by a KO, so there is no doubt in anybody's mind. I'd like to see Vitali come back. I also hope Maskaev can KO Rahman again.
 
The fight starts in a half hour.Go Klitschko.Knock him out and continue where your brother left off!
