Milan losing 1-0 at home to Atalanta. Milan look slightly whiter than the last time I saw them - where's Robinho? - but the quality isn't there. This looks like it will be a bad season for the Rossoneri.
Milan this year is a shadow of its former self. I watched the first half and Atalanta deserved to win by at least 2 goals. Atalanta's Denis ("El Tanque") looked like a giant, and an excellent game by their other Argentinian, Maxi Moralez. Robinho is injured... not that he would contribute anything of substance anyway... Milan's game was extremely weak in defence. Atalanta created at least 3-4 clear opportunities, hitting a post once, Milan's goalkeeper did several spectacular saves. In middlefield they were completely without ideas with the "Dutch" Emanuelson running around with little effect. What a joke letting Pirlo go to Juventus for 0 Euros. Toothless in attack, where Pazzini was alone and isolated and El Sharawy unwatchable (and was substituted). Boateng slow and predictable, very weak in ball interdiction and this "french" Kevin Konstant - I don't know how he ended up in the AC Milan... it must have been like drawing a winning lottery ticket for him. The new De Jond and Bojan Krkic did not show anything either. Now you can see how important was Ibrahimovic last year, and even the "colored" Thisgo Silva was a giant in defence, it must be admitted.
I haven't seen such a bad AC Milan for a long time, and I would not be surprised they end up between the 5 and the 10th place. I'm curious how they will do against Anderlecht next week.
Here's the goal from Atalanta - with Boateng and De Jong uninterested in blocking the shot...
