Israil Madrimov was born in Uzbekistan, but he's of Russian heritage. He fought a very tough opponent who was 10-2 with only 2 close decision losses, and looked great in stopping him. The opponent Vladimir Hernandez was ranked #60 at 154 on BoxRec, so Israil will be in the BoxRec top 60 after only one fight!

Madrimov was winning easily, boxing beautifully, breaking the African down systematically. But the idiot referee stopped it early because Soro had a cut over his eyebrow and cried about it. So it was a technical draw.

Brilliant performance to win the world title against Kurbanov. Good to see him back to his best.

How do you reckon he does against Crawford?
madrimov has a decent chance assuming he's able to get through Crawfords defense, but hes fought with Bivol before and he has that uncanny ability to attack from awkward angles

I believe he has a decent chance as far as styles go. His toughest opponent was Shawn porter who also attacked from awkward angles. But i fear his lack of experience may hurt him. And his defense may not be the best
