Is Donovan McNabb black enough? Think about it. He is very well spoken and seems to really appreciate the importance of being a gentleman. I really appreciate that about him and that is why I root for him. Do you wonder if he is not considered a good enough leader on a predominately black team because he possesses these qualities?

McDrabb gets enough respect from teamates and the media with regard to his leadership. In fact, the amount of credit McDrabb has recieved over the years has been incongruent with actual results on the field.

He is black enough to claim that complaints about his performance amounted to 'black on black' crime.

He is black enough to get Rush Limbaugh fired for making remarks about him on ESPN.

He is black enough to be heralded as the third black quarterback to play in the Super Bowl.

He is black enough to have played in the first ever NFC Championship in which both teams started black quarterbacks.

Yes, he is black enough.

Mcnair led the Titans to Superbowl.

Frank Wycheck lead the Titans to the Super Bowl. They never would have got there with out him.

I read an interesting analysis on a message board comparing McNair's Super Bowl season which culminated in defeat, to that of Brad Johnson's who LED his team to victory. It could have been written by one of us.

Brad Johnson's was widely considered a care taker for the Bucs last year right??.... despite the fact he led the NFC in passing, threw for over 3,000 yds in only 13 games. He had good wideouts but he had no running game and an extremly mediore offensive line. And he also had one of the best td/int ratios 22/6 but he was constantly dissed though.despite the fact that the put up great stats. And in the playoffs he put up
15/31 196 yds 2 Td INT decent game
20/33 259 yds 1 Td int great game especially considering it was against the NFL's best pass defense.
18/34 215 yds 2 td int good game
Johnson's reg season nunbers 13 games 62.3 pct 3,048 yds 6.8 avg 22 td 6 INT.
so not only did he put up great reg season stats he put up good postseason numbers as well.

But Steve McNair the man who never recieves criticism and receives nothing but praise did the following during the Titans Super Bowl run.
McNair's reg season stats their Super Bowl year
11 games56.5 pct 2,179 yds 6.5 avg 12 td 8 int which are avg stats at best
during the playoffs Mcnair did the following
13/24 76 INT rush Td yds pathetic barely over 3 yds an attempt carried by running game
13/24 112 yds 0 Td 0 INT mediocre less than 5 yds an attempt
carried by running game
14/23 112 yds 1 TD INT less than 5 yds an attempt again mediocre passing game but did great on the ground rushing for 91 yds and 2 td's good game overall
23/36 214 yds - 0 Td's 0 INT'sd did rush for 64 yds though but didn't account for Td in bigest game of his life.

Basically what I'm saying here is Brad Johnson played way better in the reg season and better in the playoffs but he was somehow seen as a caretaker QB but McNair wasn't. Why is that????

Maybe because Mcnair seems to get clocked alot and needs smelling salts every other game. I didn't know his stats were Dilferesque that season. I guess he really didn't "lead" his team to the AFC championship......
