Is Christian Fauria white?

I think he is white with a little bit of Pacific Islander mixed in.

Classifying athletes as "white" or not is not an exact science that's for sure. Fauria probably should be included as among the whites on New England, as should Teddy Bruschi. I always thought Bruschi was Mexican, but in an SI article a couple of weeks ago, it prominently mentioned his father, who is Italian. But of his mother it only said that her name is "Juanita." So now we know Bruschi is half white, and possibly white on both sides but probably not. But of course even if he is part Mexican he can still be white, as there are plenty of white Mexicans. So with some guys it ends up being an educated guess, based on what information is out there and, as jaxvid says, what they consider themselves to be.
Fauria has always been underrated. He has a
knack for getting open in the endzone. This season, he did not
get to play TE as much because he had to learn linebacker and safety,
but did not get to play a lot of defense. I think he was being
shafted by Charlie Weiss, who preferred Graham. Graham does not
like to make two handed catches. He only makes flashy one-handed
catches. Maybe Weiss was practicing for Notre Dame
(ha ha.)

The current Sports Illustrated has a two-page spread of photographs taken of and by Christian Fauria during Super Bowl week in Jacksonville. While the majority are of Christian and his family, there are two taken of the Patriots socializing, one in the locker room and the other in a restaurant. In the restaurant shot there are 14 players, all white, pretty interesting when you consider there are but 19 white players on the team's 53-man roster. In the locker room shot there are seven players, again all white. In fact there is not a black face to be seen in any of the pictures.
It would seem that even the "ultimate unselfish team" is strictly segregated by race when it comes to socializing.

I think most of the Patriots fans identify with the
white players more often than the black players. Teddy Bruschi
and Tom Brady are the most popular although Vinatieri is also a
celebrity. Joe Andruzzi, Ted Johnson(he stayed over at my house
once), and Mike Vrabel were also popular older players. A few
blacks, however, are also popular. Troy Brown and Willie
McGinest being the most popular. The segregation thing doesn't
always apply as Tom Brady and Lawyer Milloy were neighbors.

Being somebody's neighbor isn't the same thing as making a choice to hang out with them. You can't always pick your neighbors but you CAN choose who you eat with.
Ditto what White Shogun said, plus having a black neighbor or twoin what is most likely a gated community of million dollar homes is not quite the same thing as living in a racially mixed blue collar neighborhood.

to here the following. Tom Brady and Lawyer Milloy
apparantley lived in Quincy, MA. This is a very blue collar town
outside of Boston proper. It is part of greater Boston and is not
a wealthy suburb like Newton or Wellesley. I doubt it was a gated
community because Brady's apartment was robbed and vandalized
recently.
I guess it must be common for pro-athletes to
live a lifestyle below their means. If I think about it
differently in terms besides money, these guys have always lived a
lower-middle class lifestyle. They want to continue that
lifestyle often perhaps. Maybe that is why Pittman held up a
store after winning a Super Bowl; he wanted to continue living a ghetto
lifestyle from which he came.
However, this is a really unusual situation I
think. The observations you guys have made are almost always
true.However, what you guys say about segregation still has a lot of
truth
to it. Quincy is 95% white because the Irish moved there when the
governments started Bussing in Boston. People naturally segregate
in
the community, but it just so happens Milloy lived in the white area.

Christian just said first hand on ESPN First Take that he is multiracial including African decent. To comment about Tom Brady and Lawyer Milloys friendship... Tom lived in that home because his good friend and teammate Ty Law sold it to him... Both University of Michigan Alumni... He wanted to be close to veteran teammates.
I guarantee you he is not white nor do anyone of his colleagues consider him white.
Today I watched Steven A. Smith go in to a rant about how the "Hello Kitty" "Hate Crime" Op-Ed cartoon about Cam Newton was racist and he capped off his rant about how it was racist by saying "White people can't comment because they don't understand" - and Fauria came out and said he didn't see anything wrong with it and he understood completely as an NFL player why his teammates might be unhappy about what Newton did and that guys like Tebow take far worse punishment and he didn't see anything racial about it - Steven AAAAAAAAAAAA. Smith didn't say anything about Faurias race while he made DAMN SURE Skip Bayless KNEW that he had to choose his words carefully so that's how I know Fauria isn't white.
I don't dislike the guy, I'm just saying - he isn't white.

Here is I'm guessing a relative of his as he went to the same school in California. It mentions that Fauria is a mix of White and Native American ancestry. To me he looked Southern Euro maybe Sicilian. Maybe Smith thought he was a Quadroon or Octaroon like Nick Goins...http://articles.latimes.com/1988-11-12/sports/sp-488_1_crespi-high

MMA superstar Dan Henderson is Welsh, Scottish, French and only 1/16 native American...but looks like he's 100%. However, he fights and acts White, so I count him as such.

Well over 7 years later a response/answer to this post? Bruschi's mother is from the Philippines. Saw photos of her in his book. She's a short, older looking woman (perhaps about 70?), who appears to be full blooded Asian, I believe. So he's Eurasian.
If Fauria is part "African", he could be like small part Moroccan, Libyan, Syrian or whatever Middle Eastern/African? The Redbulls (soccer) had a guy named Mehdi Ballouchy who has that similar look. I don't consider him black or white.
Here's a photo of Christian Fauria's ex-wife and kids. His ex-wife is a dark haired woman, yet the "African" has a blonde daughter?
Fauria also has a "white looking" cousin that is considered a potential NFL tight end, who currently plays at UCLA.
