Iowa has started 3 whites this season, and are ranked 20th. Today in beating Michigan State, they were led by Jeff Horner and Greg Brunner, with 14 and 12 points respectively. Adam Haluska also had a decent game with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Let's hope these guys make it way into the NCAA!

There are going to be alot of white dominated teams in the tournament. It's gonna suck when they start knocking each other off. Don't want to see Gonzaga and Iowa in the second round squaring off. The later in the NCAA'S the better.

I couldn't agree with you more guest301.Let's take out the Georgetown type teams that never give a white ball player a chance to even lace them up.

Since the John Thompson era, have they ever had a significant white player? I can't remember any, Even Temple had Mike Vreeswyk a few years ago. He was a good player.

Pepe Sanchez, the Argentinean, also played well at Temple.

I thought he was from Puerto Rico. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. He did look white so Argentina would explain it.

Hopefully there will be adequate chances for the white dominated teams to knock off a couple of black teams a piece before facing one another. Then they would significantly increase the proportion of white dominated teams in the tournament, thus giving even more traction to the process of a white takeover of college basketball.

A great day for Duke and Iowa. Both won their conference tournaments. Both average 3-4 whites on the court at any given moment. Will other teams follow their example and play more white players?

Its been a huge week for white teams. Gerry McNamara wining the big east almost by himself was huge. McNamara is already a legend.

I think Iowa is starting 4 Whites now. Who would you all root for in a 2nd round matchup between them and West Virginia?

That's a tough one but I feel bonded to Pittsnogle and company after their tournament run last year and so I would pull for the Mountaineers. Would not be crushed if Iowa won.

What if an injury or rotation causes Iowa to start 5 and they win it all. Will Hollywood make a movie of our vindication and victimization in phantom racial incidents forty years from now like they did with Texas Western College in Glory Road ?

Iowa has started 4 white guys all year: Horner, Haluska (one of the most athletic players in the country), Brunner, and Hansen.

it would be tough for Iowa to start 5 white guys, however, because their team roster consists of only two white perimeter players (Horner and Haluska) who regularly see minutes. all of Iowa's big men are white, though. so if the Hawkeyes were to go all-blizzard, Brunner would probably have to move to the three so talented sophomore forward Alex Thompson could play at the four with Haluska sliding to the off guard. as i said, this incredibly big line-up is unlikely to happen.

as for Sean's redundant question about a movie being made, the answer again is very unlikely.
