The new Caste Football website is almost here, finally. As of now, this site will go down on Friday, July 1, and the new site will be launched and on-line on Tuesday, July 5.
I was looking at the board on the new site yesterday, which is V-Bulletin rather than WebWiz. I like this board a lot since the software was updated a couple of years ago but the new one should be better as it's state of the art V-Bulletin, which is the most popular and widely used board software. The posts were successfully moved over to the new board several days ago without any problems, except that the member number (which I have entered manually through the years) didn't go through. That may or may not be correctable.
I've been told to ask the registered posters to make sure you have your current e-mail address up to date here, otherwise you won't be able to post on the new board. Also make sure to have your password written down in case you always log in automatically and may have forgotten it.
If there's anything else I need to informthe CF communityabout I'll post it in this thread.
The new site will be comment-enabled after articles, so please start thinking about blogging about a sport or sports you are expert in on the new homepage. We want the homepage to become as busy and "must-read" as the forum. Lots of new material is good, and a lot of it can simply be what would otherwise be a post here -- nothing elaborate, just a few paragraphs of information and/or commentary from the CF perspective.
Also, those that want to comment on articles will haveto initially register and then log-in, which should cut down considerably on the trolls and trouble-makers.
