Zimmetro — “I would eliminate whites within a weekâ€￾ former Zanu (PF) MP for Mbare, Tendai Savanhu, told mourners last week.

Savanhu, who lost to Piniel Denga of the MDC-T in 2008, told about 500 Zanu (PF) mourners at the burial of Jealous Makombe that whites had no role to play in Zimbabwean society. "Down with all whites,â€￾ said Savanhu.

Despite his denials, Savanhu has long been suspected to be the Godfather behind the detested mafia-style youths who have terrorised Mbare residents for more than two years as the police stand by and watch. This is the first time he has publicly demonstrated his association with them.

He told mourners that President Robert Mugabe would stay in power for as long as he lived and that Libyan style mass revolution would not work in Zimbabwe.

“The Obama-supported Libyan revolution will never materialise here as Zanu (PF) would fight against such attempts to the bitter end. We would rather die together with President Robert Mugabe in defence of the Zanu (PF) administration than let the country fall to puppets of the west.

“We do not recognise Morgan Tsvangirai as Prime Minister. I would want to reiterate that whites should disappear from the political landscapeâ€￾.

Savanhu’s hostile speech scared off a white Roman Catholic priest who had come to the cemetery to help bury a church member at a nearby grave. The priest was forced to retreat in fear of his life, as Savanhu spoke looking the white clergyman in the eyes.

Well, I'll wager that if I had the necessary military materiel, a couple of thousand likeminded friends and a free hand to conduct "operations" at will I could "eliminate" the Zimbabwean blacks in less than a week.

At the conclusion of such a satisfying safari (eh, what?) the following colours could be raised amidst the piles of carcasses littering the countryside:

I would love for the UN to get bomber planes to drop care packets of Grape Tang, simulated BBQ rib potato chips and hot sauce. It should tie the masses over for a week....
