Source: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/08/peyton-hillis-misses-practice-but-expected-to-play/A lot of things that would have sounded crazy a month ago are now accepted as truth.
For example, this sentence was written by Tony Grossi in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer on Thursday: "It took the Browns so long to establish their offensive identity, don't
expect it to change if Jake Delhomme returns at quarterback. It's Peyton Hillis' team now."
(That screaming you hear is coming from Broncos fans in anguish.)
Hillis
is battling a thigh injury this week, and sat out practice on Friday.
That would normally be cause for alarm, but Hillis and coach Eric
Mangini both say Hillis will start Sunday. Mangini was less certain
about his quarterback situation.
After showing improvement all week, Jake Delhomme seems likely to get the call. But he split first team reps at practice with Seneca Wallace,
who has played well the last two weeks. Mangini said he'll make his
decision Saturday. Either way, expect Hillis to get the ball plenty
against the Falcons.
"Peyton's a load," Mangini said. "I mean, I avoid him in the hallway."
