I just wanted to start a post about the revival of white running backs in Div. IA College Football. I am so excited with the number of kids starting to get to run the ball both exclusively and as backups. I cannot remember a time in my life that there has been so many white running backs to root for. With the success of guys like Brian Leonard and Jacob Hester last year. Now we have a bunch of our guys either starting or contributing on a weekly basis. The fact that we have made a dent in the ncaa and are continuing to make strides gives me alot of encouragment.
The NFL is going to have to start to take notice of guys like Jake Sharp, Toby Gerhart, Sam McGuffie and others to follow. These guys are just too good to continue to ignore. McGuffie and Sharp have as much speed as any running back in the nfl right now. Gerhart brings power with good speed as well. How long can the nfl ignore this? When will the fans, scouts, coaches and owners recognize what is happening. I really feel that better days are coming. People will eventually start to wake up and realize that whites can play the running back postiion. Wait until they see the amount of jerseys they will sell if a guy like McGuffie is a starter. I can't wait. We still have a ways to go but I am going to stay optomistic. Things are slowly looking up. Keep breaking down barriers guys. This could be the start of something big!
