Heath Evans(White Running Back)

Latest word is that Corey Dillon will miss tomorrow's game. Patrick Pass is questionable on the injury report, which means it looks like Evans will be the main back again for the Patriots. Even if Pass plays Heath will still get a lot of touches. Go Heath!
 
This is good news! I hope Heath gets over 100 yards. If he does, I might celebrate!

I have some caffeine in my possession right now in fact. Just because I live in Utah doesn't mean I can't smuggle it in! Seeing as how I'm a teetotaller though, I don't get too wild with the celebrations. With that said, if a white RB goes over 100 yards and I am aware of it, I will celebrate in some flagrant fashion! This is the first time that I am aware of the possibility of it happening, as I had no clue who Brock Forsey was during the 2003 season. Go Heath Go!

wow Patriots went with Patrick Pass at rb, Heath is reduced to blocking for this below average runningback...

well, props to Belichick for realising that Evans is his best back atm... Heath had 74 yards on 16 carries, with the longest of 20, plus 2 receptions for 21 yards, longest was 15 yards...
good game Heath!
 
What a great game by Heath.If only he would have got 20 to 25 touches.He could have gone over 100 yards.It says alot about his talent to do this two weeks in a row.The guy hasn't been a running back in around 6 years now.To step in and do what he has is amazing.I also need to give credit to the Offensive Line of the Patriots who do a great job of blocking.If only Evans could be their full time running back.Maybe if he keeps this up,he can move up to the #2 running back.That would be cool.Another big win for the Pats!

One of the announcers during the Patriots game quoted Mike Holmgren, who cut Evans before Nick Saban did, as describing Evans as being "a tailback trapped in a fullback's body."


What could be better than having a running back who is the size of a fullback but who can run like a tailback? Using the word "trapped" is the racist excuse not to play Evans, otherwise Holmgren would have said that Evans was "a tailback blessed with a fullback's body" and would have used him to run the ball.

yeah he drafted him in 3rd round and then didnt have guts to use him the way he should have been used: as a Alexander's backup and a good receiver out of the backfield!
 
I would love to see Evans get a chance to start some where next season if the Pats let him go.Some how I don't think that will happen but I can dream right.Evans has the potential to be a 1000 yard rusher if given 20 touches a game.I really hope they continue to play him even after their star running back is healthy.Heath has proven that he deserves to be a big part of this offense.One team that could use him is the Cardinals but Dennis Green would never let him play.Either way,keep up the great running Heath!It is so refreshing to see these guys in these rare moments prove all the critics wrong!

If it was any other team then the Patriots I would be mad right now about Evans not getting enough carries.

The Patriots often go with a 4-5 wide reciever set with no backs to let Tom Brady carve up other teams secondaries, so I imagine this happened a little in this game as well. But since this is something the Pats do all the time (especially before they got Corey Dillon on the Roster) then it is somewhat excusable.

Also my general impression is that the Patriots generally have alot more White Players then other teams too so it is hard for me to be too mad at them.

The Packers have acquired a running back by the name of Samkon Gado. He has become a media darling almost overnight. He's a story because he is not the typical American born black, he is originally from from Nigeria and went to Liberty University , not a football powerhouse. He had a couple good runs against Atlanta and everyone is excited about the new stararising from obscurity. His stats are not all that impressive- 62 rushes - 180 yds -2.9 avg and 44 yds on 6 receptions- 7.3avg.


Heath Evans who has sat on the bench for a few years has done very well with his new found opportunity, averaging almost 2 yds more per carry than Samkon, but for the most part, the mediadoesn't really gives a hoot and a holler. Let's hope he continues to get playing time.
 
You're right that Gado, in direct contrast toEvans, became an instant media darling. Fantasy football "experts" also instantly annointed him a topfifteen runner in their projections.


Unfortunately for the media and the other "experts," Gado fumbled twice last night against the Vikings, making it three fumbles in two games. After he fumbled in the third quarter he didn't see the field again and may well have lost his starting job. Of course there'll always be another black journeyman waiting in the wings. . . for the adulation of the media elites and their well-trained herd.

And Evans is smoking him.

Whats odd is that Gado played well against Atlanta but poorly against Minnesota, who has a weaker defense.

But after listening to Cowturd this morning, I know why Green Bay lost. It was all "Brent" Favre's fault.

time? Why are the owners cheating themselves out of this chance to sell
more jersey's and put more butts in seats.
 
Good question, hoosier pride. White RB's are always very popular with the fans. I can remember several white RB's that had entire stadiums chanting their names during games in almost surreal events. ie - the chant of "Hoover" from the Carolina crowd, "Alstott" from Purdue and Tampa fans, "Eckel" just last year during Navy games, "Brewer" from South Carolina fans at the Outback Bowl a few years ago, and many others that don't come to mind right now. These are just the games that I happened to catch on TV. I'm sure there are many other examples that I have missed.
Yes, white running backs would be a great marketing tool. So why isn't the NFL marketing white running backs? Maybe it's just to easy for teams to make money these days. The fans seem to show-up no matter what, jerseys seem to be sold no matter what disgraceful black athlete's name is printed on the back, and black football icons are hyped by the media 24/7 no matter what white fans really crave (the white icon).
In the end we have to blame the fans for not being knowledgable of what they are endorsing. We need a more educated fan-base throughout the country. The word has to get out to support white athletes. That's what this site is about. With more and more people reading this site and sites like this maybe things will begin to change in time.
 
Who cares what white fans want? It's just like in politics, about 80% of white Americans want to close the border, does it ever happen----NO! Same thing with a lot of laws and policy. We get what the elite want, not what we want.

I got this from a fantasy football update - its good news, but note how Evans is clearly called a fullback while Patrick Pass suddenly is not (even though he has ALWAYS been a fullback):

News: According to published reports, Corey Dillon is expected to miss his third straight game with a calf injury. Kevin Faulk (foot), who has missed seven games, was upgraded from doubtful to questionable earlier this week.

Analysis: In the absence of Dillon and No. 2 running back Kevin Faulk (foot), Patrick Pass and fullback Heath Evans have helped to carry the load. Pass had 89 yards on 15 total touches against New Orleans last week, and Evans helped move the chains with 74 yards on 16 carries in addition to two receptions. Pass and Evans will continue to split carries in Dillon's absence, but they are no more than 'flex' options in leagues with 12-plus teams
 
They also slyly reported Pass's total yards recieving and rushing while only reporting Evan's rushing yards. They make it appear as if Pass was more effective than Evans. For the record, Evans had 95 total yards last week. This is way too blatant to be an accident. What forces are behind this? Somebody had to consciously distort the facts when writing this peice.
