Yes Troy Aikman belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. BUT so do these unsung hero's who protect the QB's-Russ Grimm, Gary Zimmerman and Bob Kuechenberg. Also don't forget Bill Fralic.
By the way the best offensive lineman in football now is Steve Hutchinson of Seattle.

I'm not sure which (if any) of these great offensive linemen are in the
Hall of Fame, but they all deserve to be; Ron Yary, Jim Lachey, Mick
Tingelhoff, Tom Mack, Jimbo Covert, Jerry Kramer, John Niland, Ralph
Neely, Joe Delamiluere (sp) and Len Hauss, among many others. It does
seem like the few outstanding black offensive linemen from the past
have been inducted into the Hall much more readily than their far more
numerous white counterparts. But then again, offensive linemen in
general have always been under-recognized and unlauded by the fans and
the media, who continue to mindlessly lavish all credit (and blame) on
the skill position players.

I read a piece by long-time pro football writer Larry Felser on this subject about 25 years ago. His theme was that the Pro Football HOF is the toughest to get into. The two positions that are least popular among the selectors were offensive linemen and defensive backs. Quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers are the most popular with HOF voters. DB's and especially offensive linemen don't excite the selectors according to Felser in his article a while ago.


Announcers would say a certain player is a "sure hall of famer." A lot of those players don't make it, according to Felser.

Bigunreal,you mentioned John Niland and Ralph Neely as deserving to be in the HOF.The problem is those two fellows are Dallas Cowboys and the HOF does not want any Cowpoke players from that era enshrined,black or white.
