Great news for the World Champs in Moscow. The German Team added Keller to the individual 100 along with Reus so we
will have two male sprinters in the premier event. Well deserved after that time he ran.
Here is a nice article with the queen of german sprinting and she is a seven time national champion.

Verena Sailer: "Perfect is different"
It is Germany's sprint queen. Verena Sailer (MTG Mannheim) was launched on Friday night in Weinheim in 11.02 seconds, the fastest time this year, a European woman over 100 meters. Thus it was as fast as never before in her career. In an interview, the former European Champion annoying about two hundredths, a team-feeling as an individual athlete and the recent doping revelations.

Verena Sailer, what a time. 11.02 seconds - that's eight place in the all German leaderboard. How does that sound?
Verena Sailer:
Already fierce quickly. But for me it was time not so surprising. I'm in London already noticed that I am in great shape and I could show today at optimal conditions also.
It was not the much-quoted perfect run. At the start, you can still be a lot. How much are you annoyed that you have given away because maybe one time in eleven seconds?
Verena Sailer:
I can run better, no question, perfect is different, then that's a bit annoying. But even so, find the time great. 11.02 seconds, you have to run for now. And I've always said that for a time under eleven seconds pretty much everything has to be. The runs are not simple so even if you are in great shape. We have seen in Weinheim.
Maybe true in Moscow everything?
Verena Sailer:
It would be nice, yes. But I did not put it under pressure now. I believe that a time under eleven seconds is possible, but if I fly Thursday to Moscow, then I have no exact time in the head. Simply because I want to give my best, I feel good and then we'll see. Importantly, because I'm just concentrating on myself and not let myself be distracted.
But only a few days after your individual start in Moscow you need to focus on others. As you start as a member of the German 4x100 meter relay. How difficult this shift from the individual fighter to team player?
Verena Sailer:
In such meetings in Weinheim which is difficult. Here we are only competitors, and only shortly after we are a relay team. Since the conversion to take place in less than an hour so. Achieving this is the high art. Sure, I'm an individual athlete. But in Moscow is more time between starts. First there is my single start in the foreground, and as long as I'm in the race because I did not think of the season. When this is over, I fall until the very time in a mental hole. But this is good, because I will end the single-start and can refocus myself again. Then on the season. And I am already looking forward.
What's more fun? Season or single start?
Verena Sailer:
I can not say that these are in principle two different disciplines for me. As a 100-meter runner, though I see myself as a team with my trainer, but when I run in the relay, with the girls, then that's yet another team feeling. And I also enjoy always.
What you believe is what the relay team in Moscow efficient?
Verena Sailer:
All I can make no prediction. In the relay, it is so closely at women. There are at least ten teams that can run under 43 seconds. But we can also. What we have shown in Weinheim, was far from everything.
You are currently by far the fastest German sprinter and that too for years. How does your coach Valeri Farmer that you are always the highlight of the season in top form?
Verena Sailer:
We are a team. Valery knows me incredibly well, he knows exactly what I need to when training stimuli. This year, however, my head plays a major role. I'm no pressure, I enjoy that I can do what I enjoy most: run fast. And that's why it does not work so well this year. I have learned from the setbacks that I indeed had the last few years quite. I think anyway that you most learn from defeats.
