This kid is clearly not a star ( yet ) but I was checking out the Boise State web site to check on the status of rb Ryan Wolpin who many might not know got into 4 games last year before an injury ended his season and though he had 11 carries he averaged 6.2 yards which was second best on the team. But there was another small blurb about a redshirt freshman corner named Garrett Estrada that has been working with the first stringers for the most part and apparently has been shutting out super receiver Thomas Sperbeck. All I know about the kid he is white and from powerhouse football program Mater Dei in California. I don't know if Boise's other corners have injury concerns but it would be nice to have anothre white corner to root for and once again he is only a freshman.

Same HS as AJ Cruz? Some white looking Hispanics in that area. Another guy to keep an eye on.

There are a fair amount of Spanish Americans in California and scattered across the country, through European immigration and Spanish colonization of the Southwest. Many have no connection to Mexico or Latin America and trace their U.S. ancestry from well before Mexicans started entering California in large numbers.

And many "hispanics" are not mestizos. The whole terminology of "hispanic" as being some kind of ethnic or racial group is a complete misnomer.
