The despotic government is guaranteeing a whopping 150 million US site fee and the payment is coming from the top. The site fee is a hyper inflationary similarity to Foreman vs Ali where the "Democratic" Republic of Congo's dictator guaranteed a whopping purse of 10 million for Foreman vs Ali.

Fury is a 9 to 5 betting favorite and in theory could toy with the musclebound Joshua if he isn't hit with a counter shot he doesn't see.

The buildup will be fun...https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...anthony-joshua-take-place-aug-14-saudi-arabia

Not so fast Wilder won in court his arbitration case about his contractual right for a third bout that nobody but Wilder and the PBC want. I thought that Wilder would get the largest step aside fee in the history of boxing dangled in front of his face, but it looks like Arum wants to keep his money and stage the third bout.

I hope for boxing's sake that this fight doesn't become a phantom bout similar to Lewis vs Bowe...https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...syk-tyson-fury-not-available-says-eddie-hearn

The merchant rubs his hands in delight. Fury already won this battle definitively. He can't really raise his stock by clobbering Wilder again. I'm sure Fury won't look past him, but there's a lot of potential downside without a whole lot of upside.

Wilder has wasted a good chunk of Furys prime on dragging this out. Fury got in shale and then out of shape in the time Wilder has been playing games. I bet he doesnt even fight.

Supposedly Wilder wants a record step aside fee of 20 million US, this would roughly be his purse to challenge Fury in their rubber bout. So unless somebody can talk sense into Wilder and his management team the third fight will be on in July.

I would say 5 million would be more than fair step aside money. No way 20 million. Pay him zero and bring on the third fight, but with at least 3 months for Fury to train.

This may have in large part been brought upon by claims of Wilder and his fans that Fury is a cheater, they are surprised that a 280 lb Fury can hurt someone if he sits down on his punches, glove flopping and other nonsense.

Wilder was really scared the last time. He must really need the money badly to let himself be beat up again.

The kick off press conference was weird beyond belief, Wilder never took off his Bose headphones and never uttered a word or made any hand signals after the initial introductions. I wonder if Wilder realizes that any menacing comments he makes to Fury will bounce of him and boomerang against Wilder...
