Not free agency news, but Jonas Valanciunas, a 2011 lottery pick, signed his contract with Toronto: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/players/playerpage/1831124/jonas-valanciunas

Toronto signed Valanciunas, the fifth overall pick of the 2011 draft.
(Updated 7/18/12) STATS LLC
Advice The 7-footer received a two-year deal, with two team option years. The Raptors had to wait to bring him to the NBA because he had a $2.5 million buyout with his club team in Lithuania. Valanciunas averaged 14.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 23.5 minutes in 23 games last season with Lietuvos Rytas. He also played for the gold-medal winning Lithuania team at the 2011 under-19 world championships.

Dwight Howard traded to the Lakers in 4-team deal

Nikola Vucevic was traded to Orlando, where he should get more PT. Josh McRoberts will also be on Orlando, where he WILL perform well if he gets "consistent minutes."

McRoberts is now with the Magic as part of the blockbuster Dwight Howard deal.

Advice Orlando got numerous players in the deal, nabbing McRoberts and guard Christian Eyenga from the Lakers.

Last year, once the Lakers' acquired magical Jordan Hill in a trade, they totally screwed McRoberts, and for what?

The New Jersey Nets (formerly known as team mulatto) are shedding their half-breeds like crazy in the last few days -- sent a pair to Atlanta yesterday in a deal. If they trade for Orlando's retarded star, a couple more pinto's (Humphries and Lopez) might leave before reaching Brooklyn.

In a small of amount of good news, the team has signed a white dude from Bosnia and it seems like he can be more than just a token white bench player. As is noted in the article by Jewish, NYT reporter Howard Beck, he could be starting next season:

Mirza Teletovic drives around Matt Bonner/2010 preseason game in San Antonio.
A good article about Mirza Teletovic. He should be a key player off the bench for "my" Brooklyn Nets (I live walking distance to the arena). More interesting than the article itself is the 2nd video embedded that shows Teletovic's huge dunk. It's impressive where he jumps from. This guy is a very good athlete even though he's being promoted as a "Euro-shooter".

Good news. May not hurt that he's a little older. Means he has had a little time to develop/get playing time in Eastern Europe. Had he started earlier in the United States he might have rotted on the bench somewhere behind blacks. On the other hand, if only a guy like Sabonis came over earlier before he was so banged up.

Alot of us have been talking about how the Twolves are looking to get another piece or two to the puzzle. P. Gasol and JJ Reddick have both been mentioned as possiblities. How about going after a guy like Danillo Gallineri of the Nuggets? This guy went off for 39 points against the Mavs the other night. He can shoot the three, take you off the dribble and dunk on anyone. I think he would be another perfect fit in Minnesota. Especially since Kirelenko is already 32 years of age. They should prepare for not only depth now but another star that can start either now or down the road. I love this kid but he is stuck on a team that I'm not too crazy about. The Knicks were so stupid to let go of both David Lee and Gallineri. They only had one year together but this team could have been special. On top of that their treatment of Linn was a joke too. If your white, or asian, your not wanted on the Knicks for the most part.
