He's also the poster boy for selfishness in baseball.

Thats no lie, he used to check his stats before every game. Complained about moving out of the 3 spot when he was older. He really should of retired but he is bent on trying to build to his stats. He doesn't care about the team. Other selfish acts include: salary disputes, neglecting team meetings, holdouts, and on top of that he has a big mouth and a bad attitude.

Frank Thomas was surrounded by players that would ensure he'd get good pitches to hit.

Heres a list of players:

Kenny Lofton
Albert Belle
Carlos Lee
Magglio Ordonez
Paul Konerko
Danny Tartabull
Harold Baines
Tony Phillips
Tim Raines
Carlton Fisk
Julio Franco
Ellis Burkes
Robin Ventura
George Bell
Ruben Sierra*
Bo Jackson*
John Kruk*
Ron Kittle
Sammy Sosa*
Charles Johnson
Sandy Alomar
Jose Canseco
Jose Valentin
Carl Everett
Roberto Alomar*

* indicates not a full-time player

Hmm, that is all I can remember off hand.

I can recall, when "The Big Hurt" bitched about having to play in
the 1995 All Star game. Some began calling him "The Big
Jerk".Apparently,most have forgotten this,and the nickname,but I
haven't,and still rightfully think of him that way.Of course,it's
nothing, compared to his wooing a White woman into marrying him and
having his "chil'rin",his biggest sin of them all.

Really?Never knew that, just assumed. But then again,Blacks being as
dumb as they are,Thomas probably still doesn't know the difference.
I've always believed that they see Jews as Whites with really big
noses.

Thomas has hit for power sometimes
recently, but never for average. At least for a couple of
years. Give him a steroid test.

This White dude used to think Jews were Whites with really big noses too. Especially Howard Cosell.

If two whites convert to Judaism, have a kid, and
the kid converts to Christianity, is the kid white? He has no
Semetic blood in him and is all European genetically.

Team cancer specialist Thomas is still doing his me-first complaining act at age 39. I was hoping he would be finished in baseball by now. The sad thing is that this self-absorbed clown will probably make the Hall of Fame.

Thomas signed with the Athletics to be their DH, but they will only have to pay $390,000 of his salary. The Blue Jays are eating the rest of Thomas' $8 million pay for this season.

Toronto must have wanted to get rid of Thomas very badly to take that kind of financial hit. Far more than a slow start, Thomas must have been more of a "clubhouse cancer" than ever. Yet after his release "Boomer" Berman interviewedThomas on ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" and afterward raved about how he had been "classy and professional like always." In fact, Thomas is well-spoken and my guess is after his career he'llbe rewarded by poppingup on ESPN or another network, just like other ultra-selfish clownssuch asKeyshawn Johnson and Deion Sanders.

I hope the signing of Thomas does not displace the current DH/OF Jack Cust, who brings a threat of real power to the A's lineup, and is known as a soft spoken, quiet leader in the club house.

Does that make 3 non-White starters now? I guess they needed to add another person of color before Joe Morgan declared them a racist organization. Baseball hasn't come far enough until every position is filled with a person of color.

Play by play announcers a that work Oakland A's games have started to "verbally" rip Jack Cust, the fine White DH/outfielder,and power hitter,The Texas Ranger broadcast team said,"he can't do much more than draw walks, and strike out,and he is a base clogger because of slow foot speed"!

All eyes, and verbal praises go to Frank Thomas now,who is the oncoming face, maybe,of the future A's.And of course,Rob Bowen, the solid White catcher has all but been replaced by Curt Suzuki!

Joe Morgan didn't say squat when the Phillies stomped the Mets on primetime with only one nonwhite in the lineup. I think he knows when to bite his tongue when he sees a team with legitimate talent.

If not, he may eat crow.

It's either that or they wanted to cut him off at the pass before he became one. From what the Jays broadcasters have said officially he wasn't one. But this was with the microphones on, and on the flagship station. Either way he wasn't going quietly into the wind. He is way too self absorbed into his numbers and the legends he has to pass on the all-time lists.

See, it's stuff like that that is why I am content any more to follow sports through the 'Net and print media, especially mb's like CF.
