Femke Bol is a Superstar. She will beat Sydney in the near future if Sydney doesn't switch events or retire. Femke Bol continues to
improve year by year and time is still on her side!
 
Sydney is only 24 as well....could shape up to be an amazing Olympics in France if these 2 are healthy and perform at the top of their abilities. My gut instinct is the Bol will beat her in the 400m and 400m hurdles if Sydney competes both events... I also think McGloughlin will duck Bol if she can without disgracing herself...

Damn that girl can run. One of the best performances I have ever seen. Talk about keeping your cool.
 
Femke Bol has announced that she is switching events to the 800m in 2026.
Apparently she wants to challenge herself, as she has dominated the 400m hurdles (outside of Sydney McLaughlin).
On the one hand, I can understand that. On the other, I'm disappointed.

This is sad news. I would have rather seen her stay in the 400 hurdles or at least switch to the 400 meters. She is such a fine sprinter with
great endurance!
 
This could be a dangerous move in terms of converting her fast twitch muscle ratio to more slow twitch muscles by doing more endurance runs. She could end up being a queen without a country after this experiment.

Why flirt with the 800m when the proverbial car is running on all cylinders in the 400 hurdles...
