It's early, but Texas Ranger top prospect Evan Carter's first taste of MLB is eerily similar to one Mike Trout. Carter, 20 one year old than Trout, 19 when he made it to the show has started out like a rocket.
In 19 games, he reached base in all but one. Here are his stats:
G-19, R-14, H-16, D-3, T-1, HR-5, RBI- 12, SB-3, CS-0, BA .320, OPB. .426, SLG.- .720, OPS. 1.146, OPS+- 204, TB-36.
Carter 6'2, 190 Lbs.

Trouts in 40 games of 19 year old season;
G-40, R-20, H-27-. D-6, T-0, HR-5, RBI.-16, SB-4, CS-0, BA .220, OBP .281, SLG .390, OPS.- 672, OPS+.-89, TB-48.
Trout 6'2, 235lbs.

Actually, Carter's stats are much better as a whole although Carter is a year older and hasn't played in as many games.
I'm looking forward to see how Carter progresses!

Carter looks like a good one. In his playoff debut, batting out of the 9 hole, he had 2 doubles and 2 walks for a perfect night at the plate. Throw in a stolen base and a great diving catch in the outfield and you can see why this guy is a 5 tool stud.

Carter hit a homerun and had 2 RBI in last night's Texas win. Although I'm happy for this young man, it stinks that he is going to the second round of the playoffs as a rookie and Mike Trout has never got past the first round. Hopefully Carter becomes a star.
