Hey guys ,im new to this site ,so please bare with me....
First of all ,i think when talking about basketball, one should aknowledge that its a sport that requires its players to be on topform...especially for three pointers.
Keeping that in mind .I think that during the Olympics ,most European palyerswere on form,something i cant really say about the Americans. If you watched most matches, youshould knowthat 90% of Europeans scores were three pointers.
And thats where,the NBA comes in. You see NBA is alot-more then three pointers and skill-less plays. Its also about entertainment.If people wanted to watch a game were no one dunked and all the playersdidwas shoot three pointers, they would've watched the WNBA.
So over-all i think Europeans should play in the NFL on one condition:::they should try being a little more exciting.

The nba popularity has dropped, I think a lot of people don't like to watch shaq dunk the ball 10 times a night and look like a child from the free throw line. What made the nba popular was people like jordan,bird, majic, They could all hit a fade away jumper in your face, or make spectacular passes. The europeans are not skill-less players, they play the game like it should be played, they are good shooters and passers. I would much rather see a player like kobe or dirk hit a three in someones face then shaq bump his man out of the way take three steps and dunk the ball. Edited by: cxt7

A few points here:
1) there are international players who are entertaining. Dirk,
Ginobili, Nash, and Kirilenko come to mind. They're not all just
3 point shooters (although we certainly need as many versatile
white players as possible).
2) I agree with the other guys, dunks are overrated. I admit
that seeing a black player dunk holds no interest to me
partly because he's black. Jumping over somebody,
jumping from the free throw line, "posterizing" somebody, etc,
can be cool, but most of them aren't that great regardless of
who's doing it.
3) they won't admit it, but the reason why people don't watch
WNBA is because they're women. Their bodies just aren't
suited to playing basketball.
4) ultimately, people want their team to win. Being an effective
team or player is the most exciting, entertaining thing in sports-
not dunks, endzone celebrations, trash talking, saying stupid
things to reporters, fights, and all the other crap that gets
touted as "entertainment" these days. Winning is entertaining.
