Overall it was a very entertaining Euro Indoors. It could
have been better in the 60 but I still enjoyed most of
the events. Some notable winners are Holm in the high
jump going 7 feet 10 inches to win.He is only 5'11 and
he is the most amazing high jumper in the world going
against guys from 6'4 up to 6'8.Holm has springs for
legs. The swiss did great in the hurdles too.The irish
had a double victory in the 400 and the distance events.
I can't recall the guys name in the 400 but he is young
and has alot of upside.Tobias Unger won the 200 gold
in a blazing 20.53.This is indoors guys. That is moving!
Ivan Hesko won the 1500 and looks to be the worlds best
miler. He beats the athletes from Kenya almost every time.
A girl who I have a crush on,lol,won the 200 meters gold
in the women.Ivet Lalova is here to stay and she is very
easy on the eyes!Isinbeva set another w.r. in the pole
vault. She continues to break the world record over
and over.No one in even close. There are too many more
to list.I can's wait for the outdoor season to get
rolling and the big one.At the end of the summer is the
World Championships of Track & Field.Only the Olympics
is bigger.

Pole Vaulter Isinbayeva continues to soar higher and higher. Some perspective. No athlete in the world in any sport is putting up her results. She is nearly making a mockery of T&F and at this time is clearly the most significant athlete in the world. Naturally the hype clowns in the USA would rather concentrate on more trivial matters like who is the best 5 year old black basketball phenom but in the real world of athletic competition Isinbayeva takes the cake and then some. Other results as WL mentions Ivet Lalova, a favorite here at caste, oozes raw talent. Swedes to mention include hurdler Susanna Kallur whoblew away the field in 60 meter hurdles with sis placing second. And of course Caroline Cluft easily took the heptathlon. Cluft is so Swedish looking she looks like she sprouted from nordic soil. High Jump events were dominated by whites. Where is that sucker who titled his lame movie "White Men Can't Jump"? A relatively young russian won triple jump(22 year old Gurova)!!!

All in all a satisfying indoor and Kim Geavert won 60 meters. So 3 out of 4(60 and 200 meters) were won by whites. Keep up thegood work WL.

The Irishman David Gillick winning the 400 was quite a surprise. His background is Gaelic football. Isinbayeva is the new Bubka and she's only 22. The new T&F News has a good couple of pages on her.
