I don't see how lip plating and scarification are any worse than the trends that blacks have in this country.

Yeah, Ethiopia has seen better days. They were
an early empire to adopt Christianity and were prominent throughout the
middle ages. They became to trade dependent and collapsed around
1400. They've been starving ever since.
