I've just about had it with ESPN's continual assualt on white QBs. Each week they tackle tough discussion topics like: Should Favre be benched?, Should Plummer be benched?, Should Chris Simms be benched?, Should Drew Bledsoe be benched?, and the list goes on with each new week.
Never have I heard them discuss some other more heavily pigmented QB's like Duante Culpepper or Byrum Leftwich just to name a couple. Duantes been absolutely terrible for more than two years now. He turned two winning teams into teams that could barely win a game. Just look at what the Vikings have done after he left and what the Dolphins did before he came.
As for Buyrum, he's been starting for years and has produced yet - I believe his high is 15 TD in one season. The only thing that saves him is his team keeps winning due to their defense. Of course winning but unproductive white QBs rarely keep in the line-up very long (see Trent Dilfer, Fiedler, Flutie, Griese, Brad Johnson, etc.)
Will we ever see anyone on ESPN argue to bench Duante?
