I just caught this on youtube and it aired on August 16th but as much as I hate Stephen Smith and Max Kellerman they were discussing comments made by Christian McCaffrey and Clemson qb Deshaun Watson about their race and perceived stereotypes.
I was astounded how Smith basically praised Christian for about 5 minutes and actually defended his comments about if Christian were black he would have gotten more hype.
As I am not computer savvy could someone who is download this. It is fascinating and actually I am still in kind of shock that Smith as much as he hated to admit it that McCaffrey faced predjudice because he is a white rb.
Not sure if this is important to anybody but Kellerman said something very profound. He basically said people stereotype because it makes the thinking process simpler and faster. He might be on to something. Really good stuff. Who thought in this day and age a racist idiot loud mouth like Smith could do the unthinkable and actually kind of take Caste Football's position on this.

Meh, don't get too excited. The 24/7 sports news cycle produces some "wacky" chatterboxing. Of course, it's fixed upstairs because it would never be a white ex-qb telling the black pruffeshunul jurnaliss that white players face racial typecast bias. It's going to be the other way around every single time on these contrived daytime talk-shows. And about 1/3 of the NFL is now black quarterbacks - who knows how many in college, but probably a bit more. And how many white running backs exactly? So there's the trade. You wanna talk racial prejudice? Up the ante a little more on black quarterbacks, make them completely ubiquitous with the position, and then we can finally accept your one white generational talent at RB who will not instantly get moved to fullback.

Stephen A. Smith is generally one of the most irritating, garish, and pro-black analysts on TV…and certainly one of the most bellicose buffoons that ESPN has to offer. That said, like several other black hosts (Michael Wilbon, Jason Whitlock, Michael Smith) involved in ESPN programming, they seem to fully understand that whites are erroneously viewed as inferior athletes to blacks and usually articulate this concept by repeating the well-known jargon used to describe white athletes (high motor, blue collar, lunch pail, hard-worker, sneaky speed, etc) and defend their athletic abilities. During McCaffrey’s 2015 Heisman run, Michael Wilbon went on a “rant” about McCaffrey being stereotyped (due to his race) that resembled that of a polished CF member. The extremely unprofessional, incredibly annoying, openly racist, Ebonics-spewing NFL Network analyst, Michael Irvin, has also touched on this topic on various occasions. Irvin did one-on-one interviews with Wes Welker and Jordy Nelson and asked them both if they are "underestimated" due to their race before praising their abilities.

Anyway, here’s the “ESPN First Take” segment that thread-starter is referring to…

When it comes to “exposing” the Caste System, black analysts are usually far more beneficial to our cause, as their skin privilege permits them to discuss such matters freely.
