For what its worth, Wofford RB Eric Breitenstein has been named SoCon pre-season offensive player of the year. The SoCon or Southern Conference fields D-1AA powers Appalachain St., Ga. Southern, etc., but Wofford shared the conference title with ASU last year and Wofford is very white friendly.
Breitenstein, I believe was a player who should have gotten some D-1 offers out of high school, but received none.
With that note; I would like to start an all D-1 snubbed thread for RB's. This wouldn't be a slap to any other position, I like to use RB's, because of the numbers that are hard to refute as to why they aren't getting the offers. You could use other positions, but I would use RB's as the title.
I would only use players who have graduated from high school and are already in college or who have finished college. I know we have a thread for high school stars, but I think it would be interesting to see players from across the country who have been snubbed, but have went on to do other things, who knows, we may see some more Danny Woodheads!
What do ya'll think? I would start with E. Breitenstein, because he's from my area of the country and he's an interesting story I think the CF members would like to know about. If I get some response, I will start the thread.
Thanks.
